Amen to that! :lol
You gotta love the way he approaches you before he shanks you with his little knife.

Frikken Malboro's for sure! Those Cactuars can get annoying, too.

Those morons strike fear into the hearts of plenty, myself included!
Where's a "Ribbon" when you need one? :lol

I've also got to have some sort of either funny or shocking story. I find myself skipping through the words and cut scenes if it's a done to death kinda story or if I'm not expecting something funny at any point (grandia / disgaea gets pretty funny at times) otherwise I end up missing half the game and go straigt to walk through instead of trying to follow the story as to what i'm supposed to do and where i'm supposed to go.

Story and art style. If I'm gonna spend so many hours playing an RPG it has to have a good story for me to want to finish it.

Hi Guys!

"Side Quests" for me,are very important in an "RPG".
They add great flavor and make the game longer.Especially in "Final Fantasy" titles."Grandia III" could have used a million of em,that had to be the shortest "RPG" I've ever played on the "PS2".What a frickin' let down!
The programmers for that game, should be incarcerated. :mp

Godspeed,
Kaz

I also enjoy them they give you the chance to get extra items that you wouldnt find going along the main quest and also, gain higher levels in the battles while doing the side quest so when you have to face a boss on the main storyline you more than ready.

Eh, some side quests are nice, but some games take it too far.

I am a huge fan of Final Fantasy X. Between Blitzball and the Arena, one can spend more time on those two side quests then on the actual storyline game though. I think too many sidequests can detract from the satisfaction of completing a long game.

I do it all the time if the game lets me.Right now I'm playing "FF XII".I'm supposed to go to the king's tomb but I am now deciding to check out other areas to help complete the map goal for a rank increase. Is it just me,or do you guys find yourself straying from the intended objective sometimes?
