Wii for $250???

If Nintendo did release the system for somewhere under $200... even $190... I think they would crush the competition.

Literally every gamer would own one. Sony fans, Microsoft fans, gamers, non-gamers, everyone. It would be like a complete risk free investment. Even if you only enjoyed a couple games on it, or enjoyed it for one or two years, it would be completely worth it.

Even for all the retro gaming goodness (well, provided the price isn't too steep on those games either) it would be completely worth it. They could definitely match Sony's PS2 sales if they're aggressive enough to do something like this.

If they did something like that...I could see them outselling the PS2 and Xbox sales combined.

if Nintendo manages to get this together it will be a complete turn around for them from the last couple of years

I already got my 360 on layaway and i'll DEFINATELY get a Wii if its 250 or less. Nintendo needs to return to former glory. But I dont think they'll settle for less than 250, but yea $199 would be SPECTACULAR

Was there a package deal for $250?..I seem to recall that price clearly.

Nothing Nintendo sanctioned. If there was, it was purely based on the retailer in question.

Nintendo's Gamecube price was 199 at launch, 100% positive and zero doubt. Bundles came later, but nothing at launch from Nintendo specifically.

In Canada, it was $299. :lol

Ironically, because of recent exchange rates, even if the Wii launches at $250 American, Canadians will still be paying less for it than they did for the GC.

199.99, not 250.
hm.. for some reason I recalled $249.99 for the GC... and $349 for the Ps2 and Xbox.

But I could see it at $199.99, and $299.99 respectively.

so the second option was the pricing?

Bv :hat

yup.. $199... that was the number.... I just checked it out and all.

weird... I could have sworn $249.99 oh well :lol
