Today I was wondering why Sony doesn't put some of the PS1 titles, that it has on its network, on UMD. They could be put together into collections, maybe two or three to a UMD disc. (Yeah I know they can be downloaded) But someone like me would purchase such an item. I am on dial-up so I cannot take advantage of the network. Another problem with taking advantage of the Sony Network is that I use Linux on my computers. The program that you must download to use the Network is Windows only. I know that if you are near a hotspot, you can use the WI-FI, but I do not know of any locally. But at the same time, the cost of games to download plus the need for those large size Duo memory sticks, I'd rather have the UMD. I know that maybe the PS1 downloadable games are mainly, or probably, some sort of support for the PSP Go, but the market right now is really in the PSP 3000. The Go is really not taken seriously by gamers that I know.
The UMD booklet could include history, codes, and information concerning the game, or games. Some sort of collector thing. Maybe some sort of special things included like that would sweeten the package.
I know that I am dreaming, but does this strike a nerve with anyone else.
