Contrary to your own ruthless and harsh beliefs, her songs contain the most impressive lyrical truths and morales. She is greatly an influence in todays culture!

These aren't harsh beliefs, a lot of it is truth, but I will admit a lot of it is also our opinions. It's all our opinion if you like her music or not.

No it isnt, in life there are some things that must be true or not true, commanded or demanded, forced or not forced, and liking Hannah Montana is one of those things that must be a truth.

The truth is that alot of people hate her

me and nick and lot of people hate her more than you like her

shes just annoying

her voice is so...irritating...and i makes me want to...just...

That doesnt make sense, if her voice was irritating then she wouldnt be selling to millions of people

her voice is irritating to some people, and is atractive to some, keep in mind though that most of those people are 5 to 14 year old girls

Most hate Emo and yet we still see Emo bands selling millions.

Why is Emo so bad? I mean, Weezer is Emo, and they are one of the best bands of all time. It has turned into such a negative term, with most of the population not even knowing what it means.

No, that is called selling out to the mainstream. Listening to a singer/band just because they sell millions just gets rid of the reason for listening to music.

@Hines: Weezer does not equal emo.

well i don't really like some emo songs but others are great (does evanescence and within temptation count as emo?) but most people hate emo, even if they don't know the true meaning.

Im sorry but your dead wrong. Listening to someone because they sell millions is one of the main reasons of listening to singers. If there are millions willing to listen then that must tell you that it is good music and that you must keep listening. If someone cant sell their songs and tunes and act and performance, then clearly they dont need to be listened too nor have a following.

oh then i don't have the correct definition of emo songs (but the only songs i really hate are the ones they scream on the microphone >_> it gives me a headace *looking at slipknot and other heavy metal) and i also hate the extremely corny songs from hannah montana.

sorry starrynite but i think you still don't understand the concept of "musical opinion"

First off Weezer was alternative rock. Then like Green Day which was alternative rock they turned into something they were not to score some more record sales.

@Starry: Then what about underground bands that don't need the mainstream to keep going and are so much better lyrically and instrumentally than the mainstream. *looks at (hed) PE

Excuse me? I prefer my musicians to be good, not rich. That has nothing to do with it!

EDIT - Green Day has not changed, they just got popular for some reason.

The underground are obviously not breaking records will probably never land music gigs and sponsorships outside of the EA Sports and even the affable video game arena and other small off base movies and such. They may have cogent lyrics for the culture of today and appeal to a few people, but needless to say they just dont have what it takes to compete against bigger and better artists. I cant imagine who else would have a larger following as Hannah Montana nor how they could compete with concert ticket sales that can go for thousands of dollars. With someone as influential as her, it is hard to ignore the need to listen.

First off, you are so wrong. The underground goes on tours like Ozzfest and The Warped Tour. Secondly, they won't sell out or make it big and stay fresh? Take a look at (hed) PE it's been almost a decade (maybe more) and they have sold out venues as big as any of the mainstream.

Yes but they havent had any record breaking sale speeds, they only have a core tiny group of dedicated followers who come to probably every fest and music tour, they are selling to the same crowd and not new people, they are out of touch with the youth of today, and even more, they dont appeal to all audiences.
