Hey we mean nothing by the laughter. It's all in good fun. :) We laugh at each other here.

Have there been any new RPGs lately? In particular ones that could qualify to have good openings? The only one I can think of is FF VII, cuz it was awesome to see the first time and you get to pick up the controller right away.

Tales of Symphonia wasn't all that bad. It was slow compared to FF VII, but I liked it just because.

Mine would have to be Parasite Eve. Just a lil story and them boom before you know it all hell breaks loose. :D
I agree! Im surprised other people know about this RPG. Yeah..starts off all slow and then 5 mins later people start bursting into flames! Has a awesome storyline too. You also reminded me that I need to go and get the sequel. ;D

This might sound lame...but I thought the opening to FFX was pretty cool. First your just walking around and talking to fans, next your fighting and running from a huge wave. KH2 had a great opening-I mean when Sora wakes up-I don't believe this "you olay as another character," thing-Liars,Liars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hh

I saw the Japanese-version of the FFXII opening-it was amazing!! Can't wait for that game! :)

Oblivion. Western RPGs are better than Eastern RPGs in my opinion.

I love the Elder Scrolls, but never have they had engaging introductory sequences.. :-(

Daggerfall is still the best.

I liked Morrowinds beginning. I really dont have too much experience with RPG beginnings.
I liked Final Fantasy X's beginning. I thought the whole blitzball match was amazing.

Morrowind is my least favorite Elder Scrolls game. :-( Did you play Oblivion yet or have you played Daggerfall by chance good sir..?

Did anyone here play Chrono Cross? That intro was pretty awesome, from what I remember.

I have most of the games mentioned and could compile all of the intros for watching, then have a site-wide vote if you guys wanted me to. I would actually enjoy getting some of these intros.

Nope. Morrowind is the only game in the series I have played. Like I said, I dont really have anything to compare it to.

Chrono Cross rocks, but a lot of the majesty of that introduction comes from Mr. Yasunori Mitsuda... the man for sure..

Ares, you have to try Oblivion. It's amazing.

Just let me know if you guys want a compliation of all these different intros. I can do the highest quality I'm capable of (720x480 for PS1, PS2, Xbox, GC, 1280x1024 for PC) and post them all online for your viewing pleasure.
