Bought Morrowind and Oblivion today, both for $13.50. O_O
If I can stop playing Audiosurf long enough to install them, I might get into them some xD

Which Kind Of Monster Encounter System Do You Prefer?

I used to like the random encounters, but after playing titles like "Dragon Quest 8"(PS2) I've come to enjoy the visible on screen system. This way you can have a better chance to run away if the enemy starts to approach you. With random encounters you have limited options.A good example of what I mean would be the encounter system in "Dark Cloud".

When I'm fighting an enemy and he's about to deliver the deathblow,I can just run in the opposite direction of the monster, open my items list and use a potion to heal before he comes at me again. With random encounters, you can't do it.Running away from a fight is often denied by the program which can be fatal should the game not allow you to run when you are on Death's Door.

Thoughts?

Out Of All The Summon Creatures "FF" Has Ever Had,How Would You Judge The Creators Creativity And The Way They Are Used?

Graphics aside,I prefer the older ones. The newer ones I feel that they overdid with the abilities as well as the Summons Creature's battle system.A good example of what I mean is the system they used in "FF XII".I can't tell you how much of a pain in the butt it was to use them in that installment.I hated the idea that you can only see the full animation if specific circumstances occur.

Rubicant was the full gentleman. He restored your health to max before the fight. :D
