RPG Discussion Thread

I concur, Grandia III was an insult. Grandia II on Dreamcast ftw (No, the PS2 edition was horrid...how could they ruin an epic sequel port?? Easy! longer load times and framerate issues!)

Worst RPG I've ever played, had to be Beyond the Beyond on PS1. However, down the road years later after speaking with many, this game actually became a cult classic regardless of the terrible reviews of it's time.

So to retract the statement, worst RPG? Tecmo Secret of the Stars on SNES. Oye vay, I quickly went back to any RPG I could find back then to erase the nightmare.

my answer to this question is DEMIKIDS for the GBA.... it was my first "shin megami tensei" game without even knowing about it when i played it....never liked it and never will and imo is just an insult to the series

Final Fantasy XII...how people managed to enjoy this game still boggles me. Everything in it feels so tedious and chore like.

Filling in those licensing slots gives a whole new meaning to the word tedious. But that's why the gaming gods created Game Sharks. :D

Oh I hated that licensing board with passion. Level grind just to get license points to get access to learning a skill or being able to use a weapon that I still HAD TO BUY!

The licensing system is perfect if you're unemployed or doing time.Other than that,it is far too tedious. ::D

I actually liked FFXII a lot.... maybe it was just the way i played it that took out the boredom? i mean i didn't overuse gambits so it didn't feel like the game was playing for me, and i made everyone go in different ways on the license board so it didn't feel like all characters were the same......

the gambits are optional if you don't want them just take them off (same for the demo mode Nintendo is making but let's not go there)

This sounds right. When a game decides to play for you, you know that it will be bad. Take heed Nintendo.

Hi All,

This is the list of "RPG'S" that I have yet to finish.

1."FF8"
2."FF9"
3.""FF XII"

Godspeed
Kaz

Final fantasy Tactics A2 (working on it)
Devil summoner 2 (working on it)
Earthbound (looking for it xD)

Lol my list is probably going to be the longest. As you know I buy games and rarely play them.

Final fantasy tactics A2
super robot taisen og saga endless frontier
suikoden tier kries
hoshigami ruining blue earth remix
naruto path of the ninja 2
blue dragon plus
wild arms xf
star ocean first departure
monster kingdom jewel summoner
yugioh gx tag force 2
disgaea afternoon of darkness
pokemon platinum
eternal Sonata
baten kaitos origins
valkyria chronicles
tales of phantasia

Considering a good 60 - 70% of my games are RPGs, I don't really feel like listing them, I'm just going though my shelves and counting. :lol Yay for laziness.

Final Fantasy: 7 games
PS2: 1 game
Gamecube: 2 games
DS: 12 games
GBA: 4 games
PSP: 5 games
Xbox360: 8 games
Wii: 3 games

Edit: Oh and those are just ones that I own, not ones that I actually want to beat that I don't own.
