Ocarina of Time is still the best

while you bring up valid arguments that i definitly agree with, i think that we can all agree that is a great game through and through, but maybe a little behind the times.

the reason why ocarina of time is impossible to surpass is because it was very innovative at that time, it was fantastic for all of us. and new zelda games are just sequels of ocarina with some changes in gameplay but nothing that innovative (im not saying they are bad or get repetitive though, i like the deja-vu feeling that it's not always the same)

(ok in my next sentence i'm going to have horrible sentence structure so please try to understand :lol)

if TP were released before OoT i bet this thread would be called "twilight princess is still the best"

First come, first serve rule of video games. 'It did it first, so it's the best'. Still, OoT had way fewer flaws. Actually...hmm...lemme think of one...

I've got one that's been shared in every freaking Zelda game (don't care if its been posted, and I know it has). The Water Temple. As frustrating and annoying as it has been in TP, it was worse in OoT (this may have been because I played it when I was 7...). They should seriously just never make a Water Temple for a Zelda game again, because its torture every time.

Dude, go play through it again. I really like it now that I've played it the third time.

wich one? the one on TP or OoT? (both get easier the second time, but the one in ocarina is always annoying)

also the boots are useful in many secret part of the games, the only item that i didn't really used at all was the slingshot

I assume you're talking about the OOT WT, in which case, I completely agree.

Either way, it doesn't really matter. If every sequel merely corrected the flaws of the previous version it would not be worth an extra $60. Yes it was frustrating in OOT to go to your menu and add or remove your boots instead of just assigning it to a c button, but ultimately it was expected that such a gameplay flaw would be fixed in future versions. Had it not been it would have been seen as an incredible oversight.

No man, the Water Temple in Majora's Mask was the worst water temple. By far! Well, IMO anyway. :lol
I agree with that, because I managed to get stuck for an ingame day under the seesaw things. Somehow. Plus, it froze when I was nearly done, so I had to redo the whole dungeon over. What i really hated was reversing the last water current. I can't ever remember it.

the boss was the worst part , in other words e can conclude that water temples are horrible (especially in 2D zelda games.....like awakening)

...Gyorg was way hard. I only had six Hearts, too. I did beat him first try, though, barely.

No one is complaining about the last temple in MM where you have to flip it upside down? :lol that one was the worst.

Eh, I used GameFAQs. It was a pretty genius idea to make one you flip.

i was i think 10 years old at that time and heck i don't know how i did it but i got every fairy without using a guide in that temple, XD

yea it would seem every one hates the water temple, but its just sumthin that has to be endured lol, who knows the next one might actually be fun, and i didnt think MM's water temple wasnt that tough, specially not gorge (the boss)

but yea, i think OOT has a lot more memorible moments, i have to think hard to remember most of TP lol
