And my answer is....
No. Older people should learn how to play different kinds of games.
Nintendo already caters to EVERYONE.
I think people are over the kiddy issue. I do not hear people even making the kiddy argument anymore... I simply never hear it.
people think that Nintendo doesn't have online, and is worse quality and less shooters.
ok... they don't have online, and have less shooters, but the quality is WAY higher.
I don't know..... I just think Nintendo has been #1 for a long time, and people want a change. At least Nintendo is hanging on...... because they have been loyal to their fans and have not changed a lot as a company. They still bring out what their loyal fans want.
Atari and Sega couldn't save that. Some would argue on the Sega issue... but its true.
Just as Nintendo was #1 one day...... Sony is now... and Sony is destined to fall.
Companies cannot stay on top forever.
and.... you never know... the PSP could be Sony's undoing to let Microsoft and Nintendo go ahead.
Think about this.... Nintendo is the #2 software maker... pretty close to #1. That is next to EA.
The GBA outsells the PS2. The Cube.... can arguably outsell the Xbox in some areas.... but IMO they are neck and neck.... Nintendo is making money while Microsoft is losing. Nintendo (as a company) is selling well. The company is in the black and making money.
Nintendo should only change slightly to try to grab another chunk of market share. I don't mean change necessarily... but maybe add an addition to what they have. I think Nintendo should pursue Online... but at the same time, I think they are smart in holding out. Nintendo is a smart company..... that is very apparant.
