Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Okay as I'm writing this..it's 203am here in Texas...I was in the middle of playing a game of Mario Kart DS via WiFi.
I'm racing against this guy from Japan, his name was in Kanji text, so I have no clue what it meant, right?
Yet here's the icing on the cake...the font for his nickname was RED (dead give away that something was not right about this guy...)...and his icon was a perfect Mario image..I mean it looked professional! He was playing as Luigi in his normal cart (The polterguest 4000 one)
Okay in Mario Kart DS you cannot change the color of the font..so I did a lil research from a few various nintendo related forums and websites..
Nintendo.com forums claim that only certain people of Nintendo's branches (Nintendo of America or Nintendo of Japan) have that kind of ability to change the font color and such to reconize who they are or who they play against...
So I took the Kanji from what I remembered what it looked like and tried to figure out what it meant, so after looking at various Mario box arts (since it was the only evidence I could dig up to connect to the image of Mario)...and it translated to "SUPERMARIO" :lol
This only means...I got to race ONE on ONE against....Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto himself!!!
Sadly, he quit right in the middle of the 2nd track on Luigi's Mansion...we raced the SNES Mario Circuit 1 however...
I swear it was him...that guy is like "Where's Waldo" with a big red hat!
