Considering i would easily pay $30+ for that game, yes...

heck i wouldn't even mind if it was $40 bucks as a DS remake XD i would buy it anyways

There's probably a reason as to why it's 900 Wii Points. After all, it is partly owned by Square, is it not? Maybe they need to pay Square for it...

Never really got a chance to get into this game. Blockbuster stopped carrying SNES games about 10 years ago.

well seriosuly is just $1 more and the quality of this game is N64 like so i think we get our money's worth with just 9 bucks

How would it be only worth buying for 500 points? That's the price of an NES game, not one of THE greatest RPG's ever created.

Impossible, it would only be worth it if it were 500 points, 900 is definitely them stealing our money.

you are kidding right? this is a SNES game, and also one of the greatest rpgs ever, 500 is just too little for something too big, i recomend you play this game or try to at least get some info before posting something like that.

Doesn't seem like a bad price to me. And usually, people have an extra 100 or 200 points lying around. Perfect way to use it here.

and i can buy this game to have 100 points extra for an FFCC costume (is the last thing i need that costs just 100 points xD)

There is only one clear reason why it is a pricey 900 points, they want to make too much money :(

It's worth that much. Trust me. Nintendo is anything but greedy.

In this money oriented society for 900 points that seems like a rip off. I know the game is great and all but that doesnt justify, with no other modifications made and being virtually a pure copy of th original title that at times was sold for less than 5 Dollars, being charged nearly 900~1000 points for it. 500 is really the max that the game should 600 is pushing it.

Uhh that's Captialism and what America is all about.
More to the point, that's the reason why the game exists.

The standard price for an SNES game is 800 points. This game is 900 points. Making it a dollar extra isn't some heinous horrible crime.

The game costs $35 for the cart. I would like to see a source on the game once being $5.

Furthermore, do you have the slightest idea how much it costs them to put the game on the virtual console? For all you know, the profit on selling it for $9 could be almost non-existent.

And every other SNES game?

P.S. This game is for the SNES right? I don't wanna sound stupid.

yes is SNES, is just $1 more than a regular SNES game....

starrynite i'm starting to doubt that you are 19.....because even i know that SNES games were never $5... SPECIALLY not super mario RPG

That's just stupid. Learn your SNES history before you make claims like that.

If it wasnt making profit then Nintendo wouldnt be having ideas of the VC, even then by siimply cutting costs of making rediculous SNES carts, having it all digital cuts so many energy, human, and buerocratic paperwork processes that there is just about little in the way of overhead costs for making them on the VC.

If you could have easily rented the game at blockbusters and then simultaneously have bought it for 5$ there, then there were at times when the game did in fact cost 5 dollars. Until there is a price drop on the VC, I doubt there is anything else to justify this painstackingly high cost for this title. Every Wiipoint counts and the expense of an additional 100 let alone 400 points from the actual retail price is just not something that will have me screaming that the price is right, in fact it makes me yell "Thats Too Much".!!!

Renting costs less than buying. When did I ever say that games at Blockbusters were $5? Never. That's right.

Go watch G4 or something.
