You still have to go to the store and hope that you can get one of these hard to find Wii Points cards...
LOL!!! Okay, you have got to be joking. Wii points cards are ridiculously common. The odds of them being sold out are astronomically low.

Plus that is so much to get, paying for the gas in the car and then finding the right store.
Every store that sells the games will have the cards. If you actually have a credit card, you can just buy it straight from home. If not, you lost a dollar on gas.

If they would charge only the 500 then people could afford it with their leftover points.
Because everyone hordes those points instead of buying an NES game with them, or buying an SMS game with 400. No, no, the logical thing to do is to leave them untouched on your account, instead of, oh I don't know, using them for the reason you bought them.

It is more rare to own the cartridge...
This is relevant how? We are discussing the best way to buy the game.

buy it from some seller online, what if they claim it is new but it doesnt work?!
That is why you buy from a
reputable seller like, say the virtual console.

The best choice is local garage sales...
About one million people bought this game in the United States. This means that one out of every 300 people (roughly) owns this game. You would have to be incredibly, and I mean incredibly lucky to have someone within your general vicinity not only having a garage sale (which aren't the most common thing), but also selling Mario RPG, in worker order. You would have to be luckier still to find a seller who doesn't know that he could easily sell this game for $30. Then, there is a chance that the game that they are selling won't work. How is this a viable alternative to paying $9 to buy the game from the Virtual Console?

then it was a popular game thus it was some sort popular, and if the manufacturer released limited editions, then it would have high worth.
That literally makes no sense. It's impossible to understand that because there is almost no grammatical structure. :lol
The worth of the game is determined by how many people want the game, and how many quality copies are in existence. Many people want Mario RPG and few quality copies are in existence, thus the price is high. Call it unfair, or whatever, but these are the simple facts.
Starrynite said:
Dont you see how crazy this is?! Evidence indicates that people are fooled into believing that the game is worth a lot
Show some evidence for once. Please, just once actually back up a statement with the facts you indicated you had in this post.
Starrynite said:
You buying it for any cost doesnt benefit the company only on the VC for their jacked up high price.
:lol WHAT???
Square Enix gets a huge portion of the profits that Nintendo makes off of this game. They get plenty of benefits from people buying the game off of the VC.

It is impossible to prove against the fact that people packed their copies in storage and are too lazy to go through and find the copy.
Of course there isn't. I wanted you to give me some evidence for once though, some irrefutable facts that prove that half of the Mario RPG copies out there are thrown into storage. I'm tired of random, baseless conjecture. I want you to actually back up what you say with facts.
