There's no way I could do anything to the little sisters...I think of the trailer...after you killed the Big Daddy, you come upon the helpless Little Sister, and she runs, but is cornered. Then she stands there, helplessly crying, and I just don't think I could kill one...I feel like there's a little girl in there somewhere...

As for that hacking mini game, thats based off some old game that I can't remember the name of...

EDIT: @Hines, there are plasmids that can make the Big Daddy's target your enemies. The plasmid works with all enemies I think...

I just look at the little sisters as demonic entities that need to be exterminated, all that they once were is gone behind those glowing eyes.

I think I'll be too afraid of meeting a doom at the hands of a Big Daddy to attack a little sister at first. Or I wonder what happens if you change the Big Daddy to your side...and target the Little Sister.

I could see it now...."No Mr.Bubbles. What are you doing?"

Oh man...that'd actually be pretty messed up. I don't think I'd do it again if that's what happens. :lol

The sweet thing is, you can control the Big Daddies like they were your character. I'm gonna chase down a little sister as the big daddy and when she is cowering in the corner I will rend her to shreds with my drill.

Can a demonic entity look into the eyes of a Big Daddy with such love and compassion? Can a demonic entity sing, longingly of everything left behind from her childhood, for the torturous life she now must endure for survival? Can a demonic entity tremble, and cry in fear, as you take your might, and use it to destroy the one thing she can look upon with compassion, and then destroy her herself? I think the answer to all these questions is no.

Just like the women over the carriage, denizens of Rapture are warped. Psychopathic monstrosities. She only cares for the big daddy because he protects her.

I don't think so. The Big Daddy's were once people, possibly fathers to the Little Sisters. The bond they have now is something that I see to be more than survival...it runs deeper than that. Plus, is a Little Sister truly such an inhumane monster? What has she done that is so horrible? She has done what is necessary to survive, and that makes her no more of a monster than a man, starving and alone, who eats his dead comrade for survival.

You do have a point, also I watched a video of bioshock and it showed the bond between BD and LS. He patted her on the head and she gave his giant head a hug. I might not attack the LS, for one I fear the BD and two they are just children after all. Children who were forced to live an unfair life.

True. I think this is part of what's so great about Bioshock too. I don't think I've been affect by a game as much as I was when that little sister was singing that creepy song when you had to walk across the rafters. I think this connection, that at least I established with the Little Sisters, and, yes, even the Splicers at times, will affect my decisions in playing the game, and how I feel about the decisions I have to make while playing with it.

Now killing splicers wont affect me. They are truly the psychotic ones, who have an insatiable blood lust. They actually attack you for no reason (While the big daddies will only harm you if you hurt their little friends.

Yes I know...but sometimes, I see a glimpse of humanity. Its rare, but every once in a while, they say something that makes me take pity on them...till the start shooting at me again at least.

Remember in the beginning of the demo the splicer shows no mercy to the man outside of your little bubble transport thing. Hooking him to death.

I wonder what happened to Rapture to make all of this chaos. Genetic testing? Nuclear spill? Unknown force? I guess I will find out next week.

Yeah. That's what I can't wait for. To find out exactly what happened. In the beginning of the demo, once you land in the first place in Rapture, you see all the picket signs. That crazy Andrew guy, or whatever his name was, was a psycho. He pretty much made this place so he could be the people's God. They wanted to rise to the surface but he wouldn't allow it. I'm guessing either a disease broke out, or he created something that's doing all this.

I think what happened was the plasmids started turning people crazy. Slowly, people were changed into Splicers, and they likely caused chaos, killing for Adam. Whoever was left, and wasn't a Splicer went to leave, but Andrew whatever his name is stopped them because he didn't want his dream to die....I think that's what happened at least...
