It'll be even easier to get a wireless router as Nintendo are going to be making one.

I remember when Microsoft made a "system link cable" for LAN-ing two Xboxes together. It did the same thing as an ethernet cable except was about 5 times the price. You might be better off getting an actual wireless router.
