SSBM has sold through some 2.3 million units in the US alone, according to NPD tracking through May.
 
Wow, that's awesom cos SSBM totally deserves it! Its my favourite Cube game. :D I was certain it would of been either Wind Wake or Soul Caibur. Cool news..(for me).
 
I said Zelda.... I thought it outsold SSBM/

SMS was said to have broke more than 1 million units in the US as well.....

Just thinking about that... Nintendo has to be rolling in some dough :lol

If I am right, they were the #2 publisher next to EA.... and of course EA would get higher because they own a lot more studios...etc.

I was gonna say Zelda, but then I saw SSB:M and knew that had to be it. The fact that it launched with the Cube, and is the ultimate fanboy game, means it's a must have for any Cube owner. Honestly, if you like even one of the Nintendo franchise characters, then it's the ultimate joy to use them in a competition against other franchise characters. And who own's a GC that doesn't like even one Nintendo character?
 
Im pretty sure it would have to be SSBM.......i dont know a single person that has a gamecube that doesnt have Melee. Just a very fun game altogether.
 
i went with SSBM its a great game and been out the longest but i also think that if not that then zelda: ww or its a close second
 
I voted SSB:M too, without peeking. It just seemed like a best seller to me.

How can you hate SSB:M, winter? :'(
 
yeah, totally not a fan of SSBM either......... sorry my I'm not as big of a nintendo fanboy as I should be! I was actually never a fan of that whole series of games..........

I just thought SSB:M was pretty fun, and I'm not a big fan of fighting games.
 
haha, yeah I know! I just always like to throw that out there because no one ever does! The mod is a really cool guy so I try and make fun of him whever I can! Other than that and a few jokes here and there no one really gets on anyone elses case, which is quite nice!
 
Super Smash Bros. Melee is the greatest fighting game of all time and should be liquidized in a golden case and put in a musuem. Just my opinion... :)
 
I remember watching an Electric Playground or Reviews on the Run or whatever it was called where they both gave SSB:M a 2.5 out of 10 because they didn't update or improve anything. It's nice to know SSB:M showed them up by selling more copies than any other GC game.
 
2.5 out of 10? Man, they must have problems with a lot of sequels out there then, because a majority of them don't improve on anything from the first game....
