I know many people say this, please let me know what you think....

To me, The Gamecube has many fun games like the SNES did.
I loved played the SNES.. and I love my gamecube.....

BUT the Snes seems to outclass every system with the amount and quality of games. Even the Gameplay / replay value of games were VERY high among 60% of the titles. Granted there were a lot of lemons as well.... but that comes with the territory. It seems that everyone had their heart into that system. It would be cool if we could see another system like that.

Drop your snes opinions here... Discuss :)

SNES had my favorite game of all time, Super Mario RPG, on it. Plus, Nintendo and Square worked together back then, so I'd say yes it is one of the best systems ever.

Nintendo GameCube and SNES are about even. I would say Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles is the most original title Square has thought up since Final Fantasy 7.

Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Metroid III: Super Metroid
Mega Man X
Mega Man X2
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Darius Twin
Contra III: The Alien Wars

^ Great games ^

The funny thing is, there are still SNES games that I need to catch up on playing; Castlevania IV, Secret of Evermore, Mega Man X3. Yes, it was one of the best systems out there. Gameboy Advance and PS2 are close behind because of the huge libraries though, IMO.

Actually, all of my favorite GB/GBC/GBA games are original ones, not ports from the SNES. The only exception would be FFTA, which is technically an updated port of a PSone game.

Golden Sun
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Metroid Fusion
Wario Ware
Pokemon Silver
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

^ I loved all those games.

I'd say the SNES is still the best console though. It was the first console I ever had, so I may be biased though.

The first system I ever played was an Atari, but it was my older brother's. The first system that I played and it actually belonged to me was an NES. :D

I got an Atari and an NES shortly after my SNES at a yard sale for a combined $16. Sad thing is, I didn't get many games for them. I think I have had 5 Atari games and maybe 20 NES games.

Well, I gotta save up. Word has it when I go to Niagra Falls, there will be a big flea market. There are alot of goodies to be found in those places, and since my cousins, who have a PS2 and a Gamecube, need my SNES for entertainment, another one at a good price would be cool to have.

Why do they need an SNES for entertainment? It's great and all, but a GCN and PS2 should be plenty.....

Get another one anyway though. They're the best.

The SNES rocks! And the GAMECUBE is pretty close to that if not better because if you have the GBA adapter for GAMECUBE it's almost like a SNES add on. :D Now only if I had $200 so I could buy a GBA adapter for my Panasonic Q.  ::D

those are DEFINITELY games you cannot miss out on.

You HAVE to play Castlevania 4.  Its one of my favorites (if not my most favorite) Castlevania game.  Great music, graphics, gameplay... you couldn't go wrong with it.

Yeah, well, my parents are bullheaded about the subject. I'll get one if i can, but only if the price is reasonable.
They are very reasonably priced..... unless you get the mini system.  Then they go for a lot more $$
BUT the Snes systems range from $20-45 depending on completeness and condition.

That Q is awesome! Too bad the GBA adaptor is so expensive for it :lol

I actually prefer the original NES over all of the Nintendo systems. There is just a huge number of classic games on it, and I get this nice feeling of nostalgia every time I play an NES game... I love going back and buying/playing games I played as a child.
