unofficial Eternal Sonata hype thread!!

Ok well I have played for a good hour or so and I am very pleased. It's pretty much what I expected. Great music, fun battle system, and an interesting story. I will post more later but I just wanted to offer this small tidbit for now. :)
Thats awesome! I just hope it lives up to your expectations..... :)

Yeah, so far it is. The battle system is even better than how it was in the demo. Especially when you start getting higher levels and your party levels go up. I'm at a point where I can use Echoes now, and when you max them out and then use the Special Attacks...OMG. It even has a different animation. It's really cool! I want to play more but I have to eat (I hear that's good for you) so I'm taking a break for the moment.

Thats awesome!! I'm really beginning to REALLY REALLY want now. :D

I just bought my copy today! I'm only an hour into it. I feel so bad for that girl though. Nobody wants to touch her or talk to her. :-\

I think I'm at about 16 hours now! :lol

I have one major suggestion for anyone else playing: Try to keep all of your characters at the same level!!!

It will help later on.

Take a pic coz I'm not one for double-posting, but I just had to bump this because ....I beat the game! :woot

I played about 40 our so hours and my characters were between level 70-80. I got all the Achievements you can get in the first playthrough (there's a few you can only get playing through a second time).

So, a short review is in order.

Pros:
-Awesome characters
-Awesome battle system
-Awesome music
-Gorgeous graphics
-Variety of options as far as team goes
-Decent length for an rpg
-Able to play with other people
-A New Game+ sort of option (you get to keep your Party Level and Score Pieces)
-Things don't cost a lot, so you can keep yourself supplied pretty well

Cons (these are all spoilers if you haven't beaten it yet)
-The story falls apart at the end (well it did for me...I totally didn't understand it)
-Clavis' death scene is overly dramatic and long
-The pacing of the story is awkward
-The clips detailing Chopin's life are informative but seem out of place
-If you beat the Mysterious Unison dungeon, Chopin is cakewalk in comparison
-40 hours is still short for an rpg

Overall I would probably give it a 9.5. There were things that could have been better but I still loved it.
