I like that widescreen. ^_^
They have my interest, I may look into getting one of these, depending what else we learn about them before they're released.

I'm really looking forward to this; I've had most Nintendo handhelds and will almost definitely get this at release. Not sure what color yet-- I like the look of the blue/black, though. I'm a little worried as there is something messed up with my depth perception and I've always had trouble with seeing stuff with 3D glasses... I really can't wait to see the 3DS in person. Everything I'm reading seems extremely positive; I think it will be pretty huge. Wonder if it will make it out in time for the holiday season-- if so, may make a preorder important, as I could see it being the "hottest" item and being grabbed up and resold online.

Wait.... IS this a whole new system, or a buffed up DSi?
Are there just going to be adapted DS games for this or will there be 3DS games unique to the system?

Yessir. I'm on the fence about it. I really don't care for 3D gaming. But it's going to be huge in a year or two. So I might just give it a shot. I'm very impressed by the games coming out for it. More namely Kingdom Hearts 3D.

Very underwhelmed by Kid Icarus...but I heard they said they would be shipping it with the 3DS I think? So I guess it's better than nothing.

The graphics look absolutely stunning for a handhled... matching if not overcoming the PSPs, from what I've seen, at least.

Eh, that would be a stretch..but graphics look alright..not sold on the concept of Kid Icarus at all though, personally. Never have. :lol

the graphics definetly look better than the PSP's so it is not really a stretch.

Same here. Nintendo really hit bulls eye by making the new kid icarus game the 3DS's launch title, and if they add F-Zero it would be even better

I saw the tech demo for Resident Evil Revelations and if those are in-game graphics (which I'm pretty sure they are) then it's almost as powerful as a 360. Snake Eater looks like a buffed up GC game, but not as close to the 360.

I'm personally going to buy one as it is a sweet handheld that is above and beyond better than the PSP. Like I said in the E3 thread, I feel sorry for anyone who bought a DSi because the 3DS just completely craps all over it. The analog stick feels much better than the PSP's nub and the fact that you can turn the 3D with flip of a switch makes it nice when the 3D starts to hurt your head.

can you describe exactly how the 3D effect looks like?

Are you familiar with stereoscopic 3D? Because that's really what it is. The screen splits the image into two and when looked at in the right angle it appears to have depth. So basically, you have two images that are offset. It's almost like looking at those images that you have to look at real close for like 10 seconds in order to see the embedded image.
