Ultimate Shooting Collection Nintendo Wii

Have you played this game or heard of it. I guess there are a couple old school shooter style games on this disc. I was tempted to try it out as I like to do that from time to time. Sometimes it is a waste, sometimes it is not. I've dicsovered quite a few cool games this way.

Post it up! I'd like to hear if you have anything to add regarding your experiences OR anything that you've heard about Ultimate Shooting Collection for the Nintendo Wii.

Are you sure on that? Or just guessing? :lol

If so, I'm going to be buying that game stat.

I know Karous is on there so that's one for sure, I'll have to check to make sure :lol

Yep! All were on the Dreamcast/Naomi hardware ;)

EDIT: OH! I meant weren't released in the states by the way :-X

Ok! You've convinced me. I found one for a good price so I'm going to try this game out.

Does this game capture anyone's interest? :lol. I miss these type of shooters.

Hopefully we get more made for the wii.

Cool, I'd love to get that game but I always forget about it. :lol

Man the next one should be Trigger Heart Excelica, Under Defeat, and Border Down.

Even though I own THE and UD for Dreamcast, I'd definitely buy it for Border Down :D

Go for it, pretty sure they're all Dreamcast/Naomi shooters that weren't released here. :D

1 was actually. Chaos Field was released on GameCube :) This collection contains the very last 3 Dreamcast games ever made and published. GET IT FOR THE LOVE OF DREAMCAST! (or Wii in this case)

Actually Trigger Heart Excelica was the 2nd to last official Dreamcast game released although Karous was the last. I remember waiting so long for them to be released xD

Ah good point! Yet weren't these three games published while the system was still being produced? The game you mentioned was a few years after?

I don't have the game for Wii, but I do have all three of the games included for the Dreamcast, and they are well worth owning. Even if they are just straight ports of the originals, I'd say go for it at the singular price its being sold for now on Wii. Personally I would prefer playing them on Dreamcast though, mainly due to the fact that I own the Dreamcast VGA box, and imagine the image clarity will be better on my plasma TV with that, rather than composite video through the Wii.

This is sounding like a great game! I think I may pick this up. I don't know much about THE. I would like to try that as well.

I wonder why more people don't know about this game and / or aren't buying it.

I wonder if we have any members that own Ultimate Shooting Collection... Well I will be owning it soon :)

so what do you like about the individual shooters in this collection?

Wii can use component cables so I'm sure the image would be comparable. They are more common place than the DC VGA box.

:lol Yeah component cables, thats what I meant. I have my Wii hooked up that way, but I feel that my Dreamcast looks much crisper through the VGA box. At least Guilty Gear X on my Dreamcast is a good bit crisper and colorful than the Guilty Gear XX Accent Core on my Wii. Then again it could be old age and my eyes are failing..?

Well, if the VGA box allows the DC to upscale to something better than 480p then yeah it would be better. Do you know what resolutions it can output?

Nah, DC VGA is 480p as well. I imagine its just my eyes, it just looks crisper on my TV. I doubt one would notice on an LCD, only a plasma, but that is merely speculation.
