Twilight Princess: I've lost the motivation...

Oh, it's a great game. Don't get me wrong. It's just one of those games that is so big I don't have time to play it. I haven't even played more than 5 hours or so of FFXII either, although I'm sure that's a great game as well.

I've only been able to invest time in non-epic games like Wii Play and Crackdown, and portable games like Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. You know, something I can sit there and play for a little bit and then stop if I need to leave for work or sleep. ^_^

It's true in Zelda that you can save anywhere, but if you save in a dungeon, it starts you back at the beginning instead of where you saved at. So if you're right at the door to the boss of the level and you have to stop playing, when you start back up you have to make your way to the boss again.

Every time I see this topic pop up I think of those "want to regain your sex life" commercials.

Link is just not satisfying me the way he used to...

I just want a Master Quest edition so I can have more of a challenge. I swear, the 2nd boss in Ocarina of Time was harder than any of the bosses so far in TP.

Yeah the bosses have been a little disappointing. But the boss of the water temple is kind of cool.

My favorites were from OoT though. Phantom Gannon and Dodongo especially.

I've had the exact same problem, I played it quite a alot got up to the start of the desert and then just found myself not playing it. I turned my Wii on and it turns out I havn't even switched it on for 2 weeks!

As was said before the battles are too easy, the dungeons up to know have been ridiculously easy (apart from the water dungeon which was just irritating in my opinion)
the bosses have been really cool, but still easy. You can basically shake the remote and that's it.

I think one of the main causes could be that I got Final Fantasy XII and have been playing that instead. But still, I hadn't played Zelda for a while even before Final Fantasy's release.

It was immensly overhyped.

I cant get away from my 360 long enough to play. Sadly I probably wont finish it either. The friends list and achievments are so daggome addiciting.........

I don't know why everyone says the Lakebed Temple was hard or irritating or whatever. I aced that one, and I usually hate water based levels.

I think it is just because I got interrupted every time I got there. So I wasn't able to complete it in one sitting. I'm sure if I was uninterrupted I could finish it pretty easily.

*bump*

I've lost it too. I'm on the water temple, and I just can't bring myself to play through it. I've really liked the game so far, but something about the water temple makes it just tedious.

And the bosses were WAY to easy.

I want the Cube version of this game. It makes no difference whether the boss fights are too easy, I have have bull-headed persistence. :D

Cherry, trust me. The water temple sucks and I almost quit after that, too. What I ended up having to do was beat it in one sitting with the strategy guide right in front of me, following it exactly, so that it felt less tedious. And so I got past it and was able to move on to the more fun stuff. The temple right after the water temple rocks! The game picks up a lot after the water temple. :)

You get the Master Sword soon after the Water Temple and can transform into Wolf Link whenever you want, so it opens up a lot of side stuff.

The game as a whole still falls flat though, I agree.

i liked this game a lot XD , the boss battles are easy but they are really epic.

yes the stupid water temple i hated it but every water temple in many games are tedious (remember the one in ocarina >:( )

but overall is an awesome game, the only problem is that the beggining is slow

I didn't find the boss battles epic. They were more like walk-throughs. If you find a slingshot, chances are...you'll use it on the boss, and so on.

You never used a slingshot on a boss did you?

I'm gonna try to get my way through the water temple...ugh. Its definitely the low point of the game.

I thought the rest was really good, but it doesn't come close to Ocarina of Time.

true true, but still the boss battles are epic, and there's a lot to do in the game (looking for every treasure chest in the game, check XD) besides a game doesn't need to be hard to be good, and the game is long, is not like those easy/short games.

what ruined this game was the mega hype, it was 10 times more than regular zelda games, and people are dissapointed because of this, however still is an awesome game (but not as good as i wanted)

Well the bosses being epic is one's opinion and I can respect that.

@Homi, I don't remember...I do know that most of the stuff you find in temples you have to use on bosses...like the bow and arrow. Stuff you find in dungeons you rarely ever use outside of it. That's what made the game so bad for me.

that's wrong, to get some of the heart containers, bugs, poes and chests you have to use most (except the slingshot) of your equipment, even the fishing rod is useful in gannondorf battle XD, of course you don't used them as much as the temple you find them.
