You have to remember that Gears had the whole year while Call of Duty 4 was only out for two months. So this list is a little skewed.

Yeah, like creepin said, considering it only had a couple months compared to Gears' year, third place is still a very nice spot for it.

True, it probably could have surpassed them too though had XBL not screwed up towards the end as well.
