Well, regardless, outside of the anime(where the fake Entei was invincible), Blastoise can beat Charizard and Entei.

I OBJECT

on the game if you choose blastoise the rival will choose a venasaur (or whatever it was spelled) and it's the stronges venasaur you will find in the game

however if you choose charizard you will fight the stronges blastoise in the game, and because i'm someone of honor decided to single handed let my charizard beat the blastoise. (point being that in game a charizard can beat a blastoise without problem XD just gotta train him right)

but anyway there's something that i have to admit.....charizard scares little kids :/ = In the United States, Pokémon Red has sold 4.83 million copies, while Pokémon Blue has sold 5.02 million copies......weird in venezuela it was freaking rare to see someone with a blue version XD.

also i shall now hate nintendo power forever...they gave pokemon a 7.2/10 O_O they have a messed up childhood

It's the only one you'll find in the game.

My point there is that the AI is quite dim. They aren't the smartest ever. And...

actually every pokemon on the cart is menacing (heck even pikachu).

but i admit that with those canons blastoisle looks specially scary
 
Blastoise + Surf.

I don't normally use flying Pokemon or Pokemon that can learn fly, so Surf is actually more convenient for me.

But I'm weird like that. :P

is called opinion, no one is right no one is wrong XD that's why this is the oldest pokemon showdown
 
Surf is a better attack, while Fly is useful for... other things.

Besides, Blastoise is just way cooler than charizard.
(I was disappointed at the Pokemon trainer on Brawl, it should have been Charmander, Ivysaur, and Blastoise)
