yep that's right, not only that but if it had worked the loading times would have been painful, however if you had a old 60GB or a MGS4 one there would be no problem at all... (my sister had to switch her 80GB for a 60 GB with a friend that still has a ps2 so she could play some ps2 games that sometimes glitch or won't work on the 80GB)
 
The load times weren't an issue at all, but I didn't wanna run into that glitch. First game that's done that to me..oh well..it's just one game.

there's actually a list of games other than ToA.... but too bad you are missing this awesome game..

which reminds XD i got to play unknown mode and man that's really impossible, you do only 1 point of damage no matter what, i think it's just there to laugh at it because it might be impossible to beat the game that way

Yeah, there's a list of other games, cept out of my library, TotA was the only one with a problem. :-\
 
This game is my favorite JRPG that doesn't have "Shin Megami Tensei" somewhere in its name, it was one of the most complete and engaging stories I've ever encountered, and Jade is without a doubt the greatest support characters in existence.

As to the ending, I haven't played through the entire game in a long while, but I had always just sort of assumed it was Luke who emerged... or that I'd missed all the Tear X Asch developments in the game. It would probably be most prudent to assume that it was some amalgam of the two of them, sense their fonons were identical to begin with.

I would, without a doubt, choose Tales of the Abyss over FFX. The one is simply superior to the other.

Symphonia is a bit tougher, depending on whether you're a fan of the tales series. Most Tales players love symphonia above all others, but personally I think that Abyss is the better game between the two. The only Tales game I liked more than Abyss was Destiny.

Bear in mind these are all opinions. ^^
