Super Mario Galaxy discussion.

I loved every galaxy in the game. Although for the purple asteroids...I'm having trouble with the one where your on a giant Mario. When you jump on some panels, they flip, and others shrink. Any suggestions?

The one you're thinking of is the Purple Comet level 'Luigi's Purple Coins'. For some tips, start from the back, leave a path to the start, and LEARN THERE'S 150 COINS. It helps.

Yeah, I'm having trouble with the Toy Time Galaxy Purple Coins stage too, but that's the only PC stage that's given me a hard time.

And the rolling trail galaxy (forget it's name) was a lot of fun.

I'm almost up to 90 stars now (I know, I'm taking it slowly now).

it took me only 2 tryes to do the toy time one actually XD.... i jsut traced a path

The only time I beat Luigi's Purple Coins with Mario was the time I wasn't trying. I was just hopping around trying to get some Star Bits for Lives, and I just grabbed Coins, and eventually I got the Star.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it already other than in chat, but Super Mario Galaxy won IGN's Game of the Year for 2007.

It's the first time a game on a Nintendo console has won in 10 years.

The competition was Bioshock, Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, and Mass Effect (I think).

The competition was really between Bioshock, and Galaxy. There was no doubt it'd be one of those two, who would win. They picked the wrong one, though. >_>

XD cherry is mad because bioshock lost

it won on gamefaqs and as editor's choice in gamespot too

Out of that list I've only beaten Bioshock and Call of Duty 4. To be totally fair, I would have to beat SMG, Orange Box, and Mass Effect and then decide. SMG I can do because I own it, and my friend has Mass Effect. I would only need to get Orange Box somehow, though.

From the two I did beat, though, I would give it to Bioshock over Call of Duty 4.

I think Galaxy deserved it more. Bioshock was great and all, but beyond the story and setting, it wasn't all that.

I humbly disagree.

Although, I suppose I shouldn't start arguing with you over a game you never finished.
