Strubes' and x2's Health and Fitness thread!

Cold months are coming! Now is when you really need to keep your mind focused on the goal you have for being healthy. It's easy to give in and make unhealthy choices in the Fall and Winter months.

Lol I love the Powerthirst series.

Speaking of videos, I cannot stop watching this on repeat. Gets me SO ready for the gym!

Poetic.

Reminds me of Beowulf, actually (not the movie). Beowulf kind of gives a similar speech when King Hrothgar doubts if he'll be able to defeat Grendel. Well, maybe not quite. But there is a moment where the King says that Grendel has met many of his best warriors and defeated them, and Beowulf basically says "He has not met me," which is super bad***, and is what this coach is basically saying.

Cool. I wish I had a coach like that.

B-b-b-b-bump!

Anyone working out lately? I just re-signed at my gym and I'm more motivated than ever! x2, how's your workouts going?!

I signed up for a gym membership last month. I have also been working on having a better diet. So far it's going pretty well. I'm eating a lot more fruits and veggies than I used to.

At the gym I'm working on cardio and a little bit of strength training. Today I did a light workout because I just got over being sick, though.

Hardcore 6 days a week. Zero complacency, results only. Results are good. Bench press up to 160, body weight up to 135 or so. Still keeping pretty lean and tone.

That's good though! Keep it up and please post results and anything new in your diet/workout here. :)

Good man. Not a bad bench for your weight. Keep at it my man.

I'm really excited to get back into the gym. I'll be training with an ex Navy Seal so I'm sure pretty soon there will be days where I can't walk...but that's when I know it's working!

Hey hey! Things are going great. I've been more focused on diet lately then in the past. I feel like I'm actually doing it right this time because I do not feel like I am starving all the time, yet I am getting leaner and harder. In the past I cut down too many calories and really suffered. Such extremes are just not sustainable for long periods of time and I always end up cracking and binging on crap. My diet is pretty much like this-

Morning- A protein shake, toast with honey, and 3-4 eggs scrambled

Snack- string cheese, cereal bar, or some pita bread

Lunch- whole wheat pasta topped with olive oil, green olives, and parmesan {the olive oil and olives are my healthy fats}

Snack- orange, string cheese, cereal bar

Dinner- chicken breast and green beans, or 2 chicken breasts if I worked out hard

On nights I work out I have a protein shake immediately after my workout. For supplements I'm just taking my multi-vitamin, whey protein and BCAA powder. Nothing fancy. Sometimes I'll take a caffeine pill before a workout if I'm feeling lazy.

Ah, good good!

Yeah, I've been taking Ultimate Man Vitamins (pure vitamins, nothing else) before workouts and found that they really wake me up and get me more energized. I'm working on a diet (already threw out several rough drafts :lol) and I should have it posted by the end of the weekend.
