Make sure if you're taking Protein, it's Whey Protein, as that's the best for you. Also, with Creatine, make sure you're either not JUST taking pure Creatine, or taking Creatine Esther, as Creatine is mostly a water holder, and once you're off of it you get a saggy physique. Creatine Esther, however, is the part of Creatine that actually helps with muscle growth, and not to hold water. Also, the best thing to take for muscle growth, that is pure and healthy is Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide is the basic building block of muscle growth. I recommend starting with NOXplode or Nano X9.
My favorite mixtures of protein shakes depend on the flavor protein. For chocolate protein powder, I mix it with red juices (pure juices) like raspberry and cranberry...even apple will work. Mix a banana or several strawberries in it also to boost flavor.
For vanilla, you can really use just about any kind of juice. You can also use milk like x2 said, but adding combinations of juices that have different vitamins in it works just as well, and tastes great!
Also, it is VERY beneficial to anyone working out to take a multivitamin daily and to drink LOTS of water with it. I recommend Ultimate Man Sport....the only mineral that's not in it is Iron, which you can find in a small bottle for less than $3. Both of those together should be less than $20.
