Street Fighter Movie Discussion

My brother told me about the new "Street Fighter" movie. He said Michael Clark Duncan is playing the role of "Balrog".I like Duncan's acting, and he's certainly musclebound enough to play that role, but the problem is,although he's a big man and certainly a fair choice for the role,he doesn't look intimidating enough for that role, especially after his role in "The Green Mile".

People that have seen that movie including myself won't be able to help but remember him as a meek and shy giant with a heart of gold.Personally,I think that Tiny "Zeus" Lister would have been a better choice. How about you?

God bless.

I think they just need to get an actual heavyweight boxer to do it

like i said, Shannon Briggs, Hasim Rahman, or even Mike Tyson, since Balrog is based off him.

but, that being said, i think Duncan can turn on the intimiodation factor, maybe they'll modify the character though

does anyone know all the characters in this movie

I hear you Koopa,Mike Tyson is my favorite boxer,I'd love to see him play that role. His mental problems aside,I wish people would focus on his boxing record for a change.Anyone that reads this is going to want to shove those words down my throat, but c'est la vie.At any rate,I'd love to see him play that role, but they would most certainly have to do something about his voice. :lol

Mental problems matter just a bit more, I'd guess. :/

It's a shame, but what can you do?Shrinks cause more problems than they cure.

Since when?

Since Thorozine, since Prozac, since Serax, since Ativan, since Xanax, since Risperdol, since Haldol. Traditional "Talk Therapy" doesn't have the same gravity of today's medicine. It is so much easier to give someone who can't control their anger a prescription for Ativan, then to actually sit down and talk. How convenient for our beloved Psychiatrists.
I'm sorry if this rubs anyone the wrong way,but it's a medication world, gift wrapped in money, those big drug companies use psychiatrists as pawns, and what's worse is the psychiatrists(Not All) just go with the flow.

Do you honestly think that those drug companies care about the public's well being? No way,all they care about is profit.Once again,I apologize if this rubs some people the wrong way,but English is not the Universal Language anymore, money is.

God bless.

And have you been to therapy? Many people say it's quite helpful, as opposed to being reliant on drugs.

That is certainly a piercing question fhqwhgads. It's not something I'm proud of,but yes.I'm not sure if you've been to one,it's a personal thing,If you do, try going to the rest room only to come back 5 minutes later and catch your doctor in the process of flicking the shavings of a scratch ticket onto the floor,Yeah,he's really got my well being on his mind.(like I said earlier, not all)

So? He's a normal person. Scratching a lottery ticket doesn't mean he hates you.

Frequently, a combination of the two is the best path to choose.

But don't discount prescription drugs. They can be incredibly helpful, and indeed sometimes necessary.

It's been several years since I've seen him.Someone in the family died and I had a hard time getting through it.I never said he hated me,but for $170/hr. they should be more focused on me,not some stupid scratch ticket.

God bless.

Let's try and stay on topic guys.

I wonder who would play Akuma or that green guy with the orange hair, if either are in. :lol

Your right Strubes, that debate could go on and on.The green guy with the orange hair is "Blanka".I'm not sure it would matter who played Blanka, you wouldn't be able to tell under all that make-up and stuff. As far as "Akuma" I think Martin Kove would be a nice addition.

That's what I was going to say! :lol I remember in the third X-Men movie that I didn't even know Kelsey Grammer played Beast until I saw his name in the credits.
