Speculation... Will free downloads on the Revolution kill the used game market?

The demand for used Nintendo games will certainly diminish with the ability to play many of them without cost...but I doubt it will kill the used game market. There are many people(including myself)who enjoy collecting classic games for there own sake.I do no think the free downloading of Nintendo games will affect those of us who plan on purchasing classic games made by Sega,Atari,Neo Geo...etc etc

No it wont because Nintendo isnt the only company that makes games. Sales will drop with Nintendo games but Im sure Sony and MS games will still sell.

I don't think it will make any sort of dent in used game sales. Did emulators kill used game sales?? Nope.

When I get the Rev, and if I decide to download old school games, I'll still end up playing them on my NES, etc. It's that feel of the controller and the big gray box that brings back memories of my childhood as much as the game it's self.

I do not see it killing the used games market because people still like to collect physical games and not just ROMS.

Except... a lot of players don't go there because they are not legit... BUT with Nintendo releasing this with the Revolution... all bets are off as it is now legit with Nintendo's system.
I know there is still a different experience playing the games on the original systems though that you cannot get on any other system... hard to descrieb (like you said)

@ Gamefan - good point :) I have been curious on what impact this will have.
