Sony will also be bundling together Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots with its 80GB PlayStation 3 hardware and a DualShock 3 controller for a late Q2 2008 release. The bundle will retail for $499.

On topic, do you think this bundle was decided before or after the Gears of War 2 announcement? It seems like this bundle is a really nice way to steal some of Microsoft's thunder this year. :lol

Well, I would have to say, Sony has to pull out the "METAL GEAR BIG GUN" quickly, now that Microsoft is going berserker on them (Literally, GOW2 speaks for itself)
 
MGS is a bigger franchise than Gears, though. Microsoft is going to have to come out with a bigger gun of its own! :lol

For what it comes with, it's not a bad price, though. If I was a bigger fan of MGS I would probably get that PS3 bundle.
 
Hmm, yea, that is a good bundle. Still too much for me personally, but nonetheless it's a great price for what you get.
 
I don't even want MGS4, but...it said 80GB with Dualshock 3...so does that mean the in-box controller and a Dualshock 3 or the in-box one is the Dualshock 3?
 
I would assume that the one that comes with the system would be a Dualshock 3. I wouldn't think they would add another controller.
 
Wow, Sony is surely upping its game. Dang, if I had the cash that would be the bundle to buy, definitely. That bundel seriously can't get any better especially for the price.
 
Ah, Elizabeth said they were re-bundling it but wouldn't tell me with what. Then we got a memo from higher-ups saying the 80GB was deleted right after, and I was like WTF!? This ... makes sense.
