Some more Odama & Donkey Konga info

Odama is the military pinball game that Nintendo showed at E3.

The new issues of Game Informer and EGM have both confirmed that a second player can use....the Donkey Konga congas to rally troops in Odama.

So that's 3 games in which the DK congas can be used. Pretty cool.

I want both!

but hold up.... you can rally troops with the konga's? :lol :lol
that is hilarious.

I would like to ask "how" though.

Any release dates yet?

Well Game Informer made it seem like the person using the Donkey Kongas would help rally the troops on YOUR side. Like, if you needed some help, they could beat the drums rapidly and rally your troops.

I guess EGM though said that the person using the congas is really rallying the troops on the OTHER side. So the conga player is working against you to make the game a little harder.

Maybe both of them are right and the conga player can choose which side they want to play for. I'm not sure. I haven't gotten my EGM yet.

GI was like, "This is weird, even for Nintendo," or something like that.

Yes it is really weird.

But to be honest - it's nice to see Nintendo going out on a limb once in a while.

I'll defiinitely be getting both these games.
Nintendo is the "unique makers" IMO :D

Long live Nintendo.

ok... they said it was really weird.... but did they say it was good?

From July 2004 Game Informer:

Odama
What if you had to take on a feudal Japanese army, and your best weapon was...a giant pinball? This may sound like a spoiled sushi fever dream, but it's actually a new game from Nintendo! In Odama, which should hit sometime next year, players launch a giant rock ball at their enemies, crushing their defenses and converting troops to their side. While one player mans the flippers, a second player can rally the troops by...playing drums on the Donkey Konga Bong controller? Seriously, we're not making this up. Even for Nintendo, this game is weird, so naturally we can't wait to get our hands on it. Finally, a game that combines all our great passions: pinball, drumming, and violent military coups.
