Silent Hill Origins (PSP)

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Konami announced Silent Hill: Origins for PSP, a PREQUEL to Silent Hill 1. The game will be released in October 2006.

Okay it seems the original news I posted was incorrect, wasnt until after E3 I discovered it's a WHOLE new game..

You know what I'm going to disagree. Now I will agree on the fact that a console remake like the greatness of the RE remake on the Cube probably should have been the way to go, but don't tell me that the game can't look a million times better on the PSP as opposed to the PS1. Believe me the game should look very much like RE looked in it's remake, OUTSTANDING! :D

Disagree on the fact it should be on a console? Because what I am saying is it should be on a console and not a portable device.

I'm not saying it will look good, but PS2 could do a better job of it by far.

PSP is not that much better honestly, it's more like a "PS1 1/2". Say what you will, but I've seen the best of PSP in action and played it too, yet I'm still not pleased

This game needs to be on PS2 , bringing it on a portable kills the feel of the game and even the original creator of the series agreed on that statement two months ago on magic-box.com

Well, this is all just about opinion. Even the creator can speak what he wants but he can't speak for the peopleI welcome the thought of another game brought to the handhelds.

Bingo, but you know who talks better and faster? MONEY! It's always about money and if they think it will make a buck, they will do so.

But what I meant is if you go back and play Silent Hill on the PS1 the game will look far better on the PSP than it did on the PS1.

Here's a couple of screenshots...

Now you can't tell me the PSP couldn't make this game look far better graphically

Now you must have some pretty high standards as far as graphics go. The PSP has been absolutely outstanding in that department. It's graphics are very close to PS2 levels.

Close, but no cigar when it comes to the PS2.

Honestly, the original Silent Hill still plays and looks very well. Yet I'm sure the PSP will improve that of course, I never doubted that.

I just feel this should be on PS2 instead of PSP

Why do you feel that? I see no problem...

Plus if this game sells and reviews well, you may see it come to the PS2. GTA:LCS anyone?

Why? It kills the feel and mood of the game. A tiny screen cannot re-create the feel of fear.I can't feel it if I'm looking at a 3 inch screen.... You need a good 25 inch or higher TV with real sound and not tiny speakers. I want the audience to know fear and terror, not "I can't see the screen, excuse me while I turn up the brightness..." You shouldn't!

Why is it so hard for everyone to understand my point here?? I had to re-explain it three times now.

I'm not angry or upset about it. Just I don't see why I have to do this three times.

Here's another thing, people who keep supporting the PSP are just killing the PS2 quicker...these sales numbers are killing the PS2....

Why kill something when it wasn't broke to begin with? Seriously...

Heck if anything, why even bother putting it on the PS2, go all out and really make it memorable by releasing a super revamped version on the PS3. :D

I agree, that way it would be perfect for a 10th anniversary edition

I can agree with that a bit but maybe if you played the RE remake on the Cube you might change your tune. :D

People aren't nice to Neph...

I respect him though, and agree with alot of his opinions on things. But people here are so hostile to him its no wonder he never comes around...
