Rumor: MGS5 to be prequel?

Prequel!? Right now we still need confromation that MGS5 even exsists!
 
I think it would be cool if you played as Raiden when he was
still in that war as a child.
It would be cool to see how he got the name "Jack the ripper" and
Sneaking around and killing soldiers as a child might make the player a lot more consious about killing soldiers
plut there would be some interesting hiding spots.
 
People wouldn't like playing as Raiden again. Playing as Frank Jaeger would open a whole new story while if they did a Raiden or Big Boss game people would already know the story.
 
Yeah I heard about it also and if they do make a MGS5 I think it will be some type of prequel which is cool, i want them to bring back the survival aspect like they had in MGS3 and playing as Big Boss is pretty damn cool in my opinion but the real question is IF they make a new one which I would love them to but probably wont happen. If you watch the bonus bluray disc in the MGS4 limited edition pack MGS2 and 3 were supposed to both be the last games in the series but they keep making them. Which i know us gamers luck is bound to run out and they will actually stop making MGS games. I wouldn't be surprised though if they don't continue to make MGS games on the PSP or something like that and Iam also curious as to wether or not it will be called MGS or if they will change the name a little from Solid to something else, if you remember the first 2 games in the series were just Metal Gear without the solid.
 
actually acording to the Metal gear retrospective metal gear 1 was suposed to be the last one (after the game was released kojima started development of a very kiddy game....no idea why)

a MGS5 prequel??? i want gray fox action >_> big boss is cool and all but knowing his destiny is kinda....sad XD (then again same for gray fox XD)
 
Zi, snake kills Big Boss in Metal Gear. So that makes it the first one after 3.

hideo kojima decided to make other games for othe companies after metal gear was released, konami tried to make a metal gear 2: snake's revenge game but it was a huge failure, so they had to BEG kojima to develop the second one, if it wasn't for that the first metal gear would have been the last.... in fact i think kojima doesn't like his series if he has tried to get away from it for a long time.....
 
I don't think it's that he hates it, he just doesn't want to be forced to keep pumping out titles at the expense of quality.

probably but i wonder if MGS without kojima would end up as snake's revenge
 
Konami wasn't the one to make Snake's Revenge it was an American Developer. Kojima wasn't begged to make a second one, he got the idea for it from another designer to make Solid Snake. He doesn't hate his series more so to what Fhq said and the fact that he doesn't want to have his name known only for one amazing series.
