My old work buddy called me up today to let me know that GameStop is going to start taking reserves for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxies, and Fire Emblem tomorrow.

I'm going to reserve FE for sure but I'll probably just ask for SMG and SSBB for Christmas. :)

Ah, the glories of Santa Claus. He screwed me over last year with socks and useless hygiene products.

im asking for a bunch of games this year

He must have Best Buy on speed dial.

Anyway, I'm getting an iPhone soon, so I might ask for Brawl this year.

You bastard. I'm preordering the big two(screw Galaxy, sure as hell not worth $50).

No simple, easy Mario platformer is worth $50, especially when I still gotta buy Corruption and Brawl(both worth $50).

What's Galaxy got that's worth $50, though? Brawl has replayability, Corruption has amazing control, an awesome game, and the Metroid Prime name(*drool*). Mario has bright colors, low challenge, and the curse of Mario platformers.

mario 3D games are for the hardcore gamers, and they have high challenge levels, i'd like to see you beat galaxy, or mario sunshine for that matter

and there is no curse of mario platformers, they are all great

You've got to be kidding. High challenge in a Mario game? No. Look at how simple Sunshine Bowser was. When I beat him, I was like, "Wait, that was it?" However challenging tipping a hottub is...

The curse is something to the effect of WITTSTIHTGTTESA, which is a fancy way of saying sending you through the same areas 6+ times really doesn't help its replay value. In fact, it kills it.

and you call yourself a gamer? not liking mario games?

THERE MARIO GAMES!

No, I like Mario games, they're just not anywhere worth $50 to play for a few hours, beat it, get bored of it since you've already gone through the area...seven times, and then never touch it again.

man, id hate to know what games you consider classic

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say ones that are enjoyable enough to play after beating it, ones that...hmm...seem like they are actually worth $50.

ITS MARIO

FREAKIN

GALAXY

WHAT KIND OF NINTENDO FAN ARE YOU

Oh, wow, I think you're under the impression that I'd be ignoring this. No, I'm not, actually. I'm getting it from an online rental thing(akin to Game...fly), where it's, you know, not $50, so it's...what's the word? Worth it.

That's a nice way of admitting you were totally confused and wrong.

Well I went ahead and bought Brawl, so I won't have to worry about it when I go pick it up. I also got automatically signed up to be in a tournament the first week it comes out. That way, it's pure talent. Nobody has that much time to practice.
