Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

I LOVE the design. So sleek and sexy. I'll be pre-ordering this as soon as possible.

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

Recap:

Release date in Europe and North America? October 1st. Price? $249.99 or 249.99 in Euros

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

Im buying it! It looks so great in hands on and such and much lighter than my vintage PSP 2000

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

The position of the analog stick looks awkward. I'd have to handle one before deciding whether or not to get it. From the looks of it, I'm not convinced it would be comfortable to play for extended periods of time.

And at $249...I can wait for a price drop, anyway.

Zidart is absolutely right in my PoV. memory card duo games or instant epic fail. At least the game format don't come with viruses. Remember the Phantom console...trashy.

This is a mean game of neo-ROM idealogy stating "if abandonware is really successful...it works for games that cost money". You can't shelve it for one thing. I am not the one who won't pay for Virtual Console. I am not falling for the old "it's cheaper than Ebay thing".

I'm mainstream....bluray, dvd, umd, sdcard.

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

It's not like you can't just use a regular PSP and get the games on umd format. As Sony said the PSPGO is for people that want their games distributed digitally.

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

I'm unsure, if it got 720p and a memory card micro on it. Sony would start with downloads, and sell memory stick micros later on. The PSP even has demos off memory stick duo.

2 GB micros don't cost much to manufacture. They're like $15 at the Best Buy, yet Amazon has it for $10.

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

Update:

- In an interview, Kaz Hirai said Sony will continue to release PSP games in UMD format, the digital download is another way for customer to purchase their games. The PSP Go's 16GB memory will have room for 8 - 10 PSP games. Sony wants to have more casual players by introducing games like Hannha Motana.

- UNCONFIRMED: Destructoid reported that PSP developers are working for new games specifically designed for PSP Go, which are very small and inexpensive. These type of games will be no larger than 100MB and cost between $2 - $6, and they can be downloaded from the PSP App Store.

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

So the PSP Go has 16 GB internal memory.

8-10 seems like a lot of games but I'm sure some people would be able to fill that easily.

Can you also still use Pro Duos?

16 GB Memory Stick Pro Duos cost $100. Well, the Sony brand ones, anyway. I don't imagine the cheaper, less GB Pro Duos would hold that much. An 8 GB would hold, what, 4-5 games?

No, it uses a unique different kind of memory called, "Micro Pro Duo" :(

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

Oh yeah I remember we talked about those.

How much will those cost?

Sony's just doing it that way because they want you to have to buy their proprietary memory cards. Otherwise, if they were still using Pro Duos, we would be able to buy the cheaper Sandisk brand Pro Duos.

No price yet, but you can bet it's going to be 2-3 times as much as a normal 4GB Memory Duo lol

The file size has gone above the 700MB mark. Most recent games are over a gig of storage.

Which is true, most PSP games can hold about 1.5GB.

Re: SEE the PSP Go! (Pics leaked accidentally)

-A PS3 Sixaxis or DualShock 3 controller can be used to play PSP games, but the L2/R2/L3/R3 buttons and the right analog stick will not work for the obvious reasons.

I seriously want the white one..
