PSP Go Leaked!

Only a week before E3 and here it is...THE PSP GO!

Then placed side-by-side against some of the current portable gaming competition, the PSP Go illustrates just how different it is from its peers and predecessor. The screen ratio looks slightly off from the one that ships with the older PSP model, in addition to being smaller in size—3.8 inches versus the PSP-3000's diagonal size of 4.3 inches.

The removal of some of the PSP's original buttons (display, sound, volume) go a long way to keeping the look more efficient than earlier models.

Versus the Nintendo DSi and DS Lite, however, we see just how much smaller the device is in its open position compared to its dual-screen competition. Screen-wise, the DSi and PSP Go are closer than ever, as the former got a quarter-inch boost over the DS Lite's screen, with the Go shaving off a half-inch.

PSP Go! Details

1) Built-in flash memory of 16GB
2) It supports Bluetooth headsets for chat
3) NO UMD Drive.
4) Memory Micro, so you can add more space to it.
5) Games will be directly downloaded.

Okay with this in mind, it's basically sounding like my DSi. I can download DSiWare games, but cannot sell them later on.

HOWEVER, big fat promise from Sony, is this PSP Go! will not replace the PSP-3000 models. (If you believe that, then I'm Dr. Light).

downloading arcade/psn/wiiware/dsiware is one thing.....but full priced games is another.... epic fail

For me, however..that's a good thing. I already have enough game cases lying around.

but what if you don't like the game you bought? you won't be able to give it back to gamestop for full price like you usually do

That's ok. They'll probably set it up like their movie download service where you can rent for a price and buy for a higher price.

if they do then i'll buy it... if they don't then there's the dissidia model.

actually even then... you can't sell the game.. life if you get bored of them and need trade in credit

Gonna get this on Day 1. Do we know if it is touch screen or not.

I think we have an interesting set of handhelds now.
I dont even think PSP Go goes in the same category as DS. Its probably more competing against the Zune HD and the iPod Touch

Yeah, but as Starry was saying..if this is competing against the Zune HD and iPod Touch, you can't sell the games you get on those either.

which is one of the reasons i never got one of those XD

well i just hope the psp 3000 doesn't get kicked out of the competition

Zidart!!! They could very well announce a PSP 4000. I think that for until the end of this fiscal year, the PSP 3000 is safe. I remember reading somewhere that Sony was testing to see if this is what consumers want to move towards, so I doubt the 3000 will go away, unless of course everyone gobbles up the PSP Go and downloads on PSN skyrocket

that's what most likely is going to happen.... i then hope for a 4000

Then they would have basically be making a PSP2. Though they could easily announce a PSP2, a PSP 4000, a PSP GO!!!! Everyone would be happy, and throw in a PS3 100$ price cut. Sony FTW!

Wow dude.. Cartman ftw!

Though the PS2 is my favorite console (chronologically after the SNES), I have not gotten a PSP. I considered getting one for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, but could never quite convince myself to actually buy one...

Grindspine if you wait a bit Tekken 6 might be coming to PSP as well. And if it's anything like the arcade version it's well worth it.
