Official Super Smash Bros. Brawl Topic

Played some more today. A good party game IMO. Snake plays real well and I use Samus as my main character. ^__^

I mean, it's cool that you played it...but I wouldn't settle for anything less than the American Version. :lol
I know. I can't wait to understand the game and not have a translator for me to enjoy "story" mode. :lol

Well, the only actual difference is that the story, and menus are Japanese, but who gives a crap about story, in a Smash Bros. game? :lol

I just finished playing the Japanese version and I must say I was disappointed by the Wii Remote controls. The GameCube controller is where it's at.

wait i thought the story had no dialog at all XD so i think it doesn't matter if you play it in japanese.

and creepingdeth we all knew that ::) smash without a gamecube controler would be weird

Sorry didn't realize you all played the game. I'll refrain from giving my opinion. Especially considering I know a couple of people who actually like the Wii Remote controls.

i , to this day don't get how the wii-mote works (no offense creeping) can someone try to explain to me the appeal?

There's really no appeal. It works similar to other games. The A and B Buttons are for attacks and smashes, the C Button is for jumping and the Z Button is for blocking. You move around with the Control Stick. The thing I like about it is that your hands are more relaxed because your not holding it like a regular controller. It's possible that if I used that scheme more I would grow to like it. I can see why people would like the Wii Remote. I guess I'm just used to the GC controller right now.

Creepin, I don't think he meant that rudely, man... I interpreted his post as "a large group of us already do not like the idea of using the Wiimote in Brawl, so we're sticking to gamecube controllers"... I agree that he should not have posted in a manner that makes it look like your post was worthless, though.

And you don't need to play the game yourself to know how it works... that's what reviews are for. :p

Plus, Wiimote is inferior, I'd end up using Wiimote and Nunchuk at the least, just for the waggle smashes.

sorry >_> didn't want to insult you in any way, i was agreeing with you in the fact that i'll stick to gamecube controlers, becuase that's the one we're most used to.

and i might try the waggle smashes XD, idk it might work

Okay, after playing for hours last night... Brawl is the best game I have ever played. I'll write more about it later.

Nice. I'd like to hear more about your experience.

Best game you've ever played? I heard it wasn't all too much different than SSBM.

Really? I've only heard otherwise... it felt totally different from Melee. I was a dedicated Melee player... and I kept trying to do things that only work in Melee, and they didn't work... it's different man. :D

Jack: will do. I'm kinda at work right now so I'll post about it later.
