Cross examining, presenting evidence, making decisions, everything outside the court room. Gameplay. Oops, you must not have known you play outside the court room. But that means you also didn't know you interact in the court room either. Please stop talking about games you've never played.

If you played it and didn't like it, which I'm sure Strubes has, then that's ok, because that's a matter of opinion. If you haven't played it, you have no idea what you're talking about, and then it just looks stupid to bash it.

I'm not making judgements about the gameplay, graphics or anything. There is no gameplay! I can't judge a "game" that isn't really a game!

HAHAHAHA wooow hines now you've done it :lol you really never played this game... oh and by the way it is a GAME it's from the genre of point and click ADVENTURE and also a part SIMULATOR you also MOVE your character and INVESTIGATE clues, and if you haven't played phoenix wright 1 then you should know that you USE THE TOUCH SCREEN TO GET FINGERPRINTS AND BLOOD MARKS.... and all that with the touch screen and all other buttons

You know, there is a genre called adventure games. Idk if you've ever heard of it. It was a pretty small genre for years. Hell, Myst only sold 10 million copies. ::)

The definitions of "game", brought to you by Merriam-Webster, is "any activity undertaken or regarded as a contest involving rivalry, strategy, or struggle". To deny that there is strategy involved in the Phoenix Wright games is absolutely flawed. Play through an entire Phoenix Wright game; until you do, your opinion is based upon flawed facts.

The video you posted is a surprise ending. It doesn't have any gameplay because it's a cutscene. Anyone can take a cutscene from a game and say "this is what the whole game is like".

How can a guide be 384kb of text, yet be made on a game with zero gameplay in it? Read some of that walkthrough, and you will see the gameplay elements.


Now, back on topic, please. No more discussion as to whether or not the Phoenix Wright series is a game. If you want to debate it so badly, make a new topic in the DS forum. This is the only warning I'm gonna give.
