If they throw in Mega Man (Classic or X), I'd be a happy camper.

You should've seen the Gamefaqs / Gamespot message boards the night Sonic was announced. The topic count rose to 8000 that night. When everyone realized how close they were to 9000 topics, a flurry of over 1000 "Over 9000" DBZ joke topics sprung up.

i was in flash flash revolution forum and i read that a lot of people want geno on this game.

seriously megaman, a clavat and even cloud have more oportunity to get into this game than Geno (as playable character and i'm being sarcastic)

SSBB director Masashiro Sakurai made the announcement via Japanese radio program The Gaming Show that Metroid mega-boss Ridley, Bowser Jr. and the Wind Waker version of Link have been added as new members to the Super Smash Brothers Brawl combatant list. The newly added triad join the other first-timers making an appearance in the Nintendo brawler -- Metal Gear Solid hero Solid Snake, Meta Knight, Wario, and Zero Suit Samus.

Getting the boot with this iteration of the Super Smash Brothers series are Young Link, the Ice Climbers, and Mr. Game and Watch. Sakurai expects a roster of 40 characters to fill the game, with other non-Nintendo characters joining the fray still a possibility.

Wow, pretty much none of this actually happened, beyond Snake, Meta Knight, Wario, and two of the three kicked characters.
 
Yeah, but look at the time stamp. That was posted like March 6. I'm sure lots of things have changed since then, but they might have been true at the time. :)
 
I don't think so. I mean, why remove Ridley, WW Link, Bowser Jr. and say the Ice Climbers are gone?
 
Well, on Gamefaqs:

Ridely is under heavy debate. Some think he'll be the second Metroid rep, others think he's simply too large to be included (even though Kirby is like, 8 inches tall and as large as Mario).

Haven't heard anything on WW Link. Is it even possible to import Cel-Shaded characters into a CGI environment with non cel shaded characters?

Bowser Jr. I have no idea. Haen't heard a word. Maybe, maybe not.

Ice Climbers. Once again, no idea. I see no reason to take them out, though.
 
Watch the Melee opening, notice Ridley's size. And lack of tail. He was supposed to be in Melee, but they couldn't get the tail physics down. Wind Waker Link/Bowser Jr., clones, if in. Ice Climbers have been confirmed.


That was hard to write on a DS.
 
So kick out Young Link, and put in WW Link? Wow, that makes a lot of sense.
Bowser Jr., eh, that sounds kind of stupid.
Ridley? Yeah, sure, if they can get him in as another giant like DK and Bowser. Hopefully they'll give him his own move set though.
 
They should bring back Young Link with more Majora's Mask stuff. And his Final Smash would, of course, be Fierce Deity Link.
 
People have said that plenty of times, but remember that Ridley was in Melee up until the tail physics. Sorta like how the Brumak was pulled because the physics sucked.
 
why couldnt they get the tail physics right?

and i like the majoras mask link idea, that would be pretty cool, he'd be like a better version of zelda with the transformation and all
 
Yeah, and while we're at it, let's add Gohan. Him and Majora's Mask Link can face eachother! Gohan goes Super Sayan, Link gets a mask.... :lol
