Dang that thing is huge...
August 9, 2007 - Halo 3: The Brand continues its consumer onslaught, racking up more than 1 million pre-orders so far, Microsoft said Thursday.
Flanked by corporate sponsors 7-Eleven, Burger King, Comcast, Mountain Dew and Pontiac, Master Chief is locked, loaded and ready to capture every last scrap of Earth's money.
According to Microsoft, Halo 3 is the fastest-selling preordered videogame ever and is backed by an unprecedented number of promotional partners.
"What we've experienced is nothing short of phenomenal," said Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising at GameStop. "Halo 3 has eclipsed many previous records and will prove to be one of the must-have items of 2007."
The Halo 3 Legendary Edition box set is expected to sell out completely by the game's Sept. 25 launch date. The $130 package comes with behind-the-scenes documentary footage, re-mastered cinematic material from the first two Halo games, exclusive Halo 2-powered Machinima and an unwearable Spartan helmet.
Gamers who can't afford the Legendary Edition's price tag can still buy Halo-themed soda, Halo-branded Slurpee cups, Burger King French fries surrounded by Halo images and tickets to the Halo-sponsored Projeckt Revolution concert series.
Apparently, there's a game too.

I might be standing in a line for a while, even though mine is preordered, but you just know that right when the store opens, people will be waiting.
