They ruined the game. Plain and simple. It encourages camping, the match making is terrible and the shotgun is totally underpowered.

The first Gears was the exact opposite, Rush for the best gun and the shotty was overpowered. Either way, the Multiplayer for Gears will always be underwhelming compared to other games.

To sum up Gears of War 2. One of the most bloodiest games I have seen to date! Seriously, I mean gallons of blood that it's like a strawberry river of disturbance. So much more action compared to the first.
However, I thought in Campaign mode you could have 4 player co-op?? I guess I was wrong, unless I'm doing something wrong? I tried to invite Frodus, while playing a session with my boss, but nothing happened.
