Offical Gears of War 2 General Discussion

True.

I guess there'd be PC peeps out there though who've seen (or perhaps played at another palce) Gears of War 1, so they'd be pyched to fid out if it ever would come out for PC. Oh well... their turn to miss out. Those of us (me for example) have to rely on a console version for stuff when it's on PC (*sob* ... Starcraft 2...).

Ahh... the tables a have turned for the PC loyal, unless of course you don't care... My opininon on this is disputed... I'm addicted to both! :D

That's what they said about GOW1 (No PC edition in the works) and then what happened? BAM! A PC version because Epic Games are dollar monkies! They'll do it again, add extra junk and make us mad again.

I may have the PC edition of GOW1, but I still haven't seen the COOL new boss fights still...because it's the same flippin' GAME!!

Figures...

I guess you could say it's a strategic plan they implement, stating there wont be ANY other versions, then brining out the game to another console when it's at it's peak to bring in even more of the cash!

Epic also plans on awarding those who pick up a new version of the game during midnight launch events at participating retailers. Those who pick up the game in the wee hours of November 7 will receive a redeemable token for a special-edition in-game gold-plated Hammerburst assault rifle, which can be used in the online portion of Gears 2. The eminent designer noted that both the map pack and the gold-plated Hammerburst assault rifle will not be available for download as DLC at a later time through Xbox Live.

Great, who wants to blow up gamestop?

But is that Gamestop's fault or Epic's fault?

Ahh, I see.

Yes, that is pretty sad. But, 360 fanboys can be just as bad, so I'm sure it will even out with all the 10s it will get from 360 fanboys. ;)

The gameplay is very tight. It feels a lot like Gears 1 as far as controls go, but the graphics are crisper and cleaner. There is A LOT more enemy variety... and I don't just mean enemies carrying different weapons. In horde mode alone I saw at least 15 unique enemies, lots of variety. The new weapons I didn't use that much. The turret is AWESOME though. The mortar is really strong but sort of impractical and has little ammo. The new hammerburst is awesome (its very useful, think a carbine from Halo 3).

Love the commercial, yet yeah I agree, "MAD WORLD" did a fantastic job as the BGM in the original.

remind me to kick Microsoft in the head, alright? If they keep telling people the 360 is $199. It confuses the consumers when they find out it does not come with a hard drive and so who do they blame? Us. The employees of every retail businesses. Thanks Microjerks! I'll karate punch you in the throat if I see ya!

Yes, basically this all started from the GameTrailers forums. A bunch of 360 fanboys gave LittleBig a bunch of 0's on Metacritic. PS3 fanboys returned the favor.

Not always.
