Microsoft E3 Press Conference...thoughts?

i think microsoft did a good job this year. they didnt bring out anything huge, just some killer titles which seem like enough to put it in front of the pack when it comes to sales, and great games.

some re5 and halo3 was shown, as expected. but basically, it was a good solid lineup of games that we already know about
 
lol forgot to put my opinions.

Overall, I thought it was just a little too safe. They just showed the same old things, and they never really showed anything particularly new. That being said, Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4 look freaking amazing. :drool

EDIT: There was one surprise. RE 5 because that hadn't been confirmed for the 360 yet...
 
I could go into a huge fit about the whole thing, but in my opinion, it was all just "meh". Best holiday lineup ever? Not in my opinion.
 
I'm a little disappointed that they didn't mention Alan Wake or Halo Wars, but maybe there will be more info on those as more of E3 happens.

And they still better have all the PC Gears of Wars stuff available as a download for 360 owners! >:(

I'll have to actually watch it myself, but overall it does sound like they went the safe route and showed a lot of stuff that everyone already knows about.

They mentioned both in passing, but I agree, especially with Alan Wake. That was one of the main things I was looking for. :-\
 
Awesome. "Finish the Fight" is darn right. I can't wait. Halo 3 looks gorgeous and they're still going to be updating graphics all the way up to launch so no complains about that. ;)

I thought it was funny how Xbox 360 completely dominated the Wii and PS3 in 3rd party games reaching within the top 10 game sales in 2007.

I can't wait. The 360's lineup is the best I've ever seen for the Holiday season.

The only new thing so far that ive learnt is RE5 is coming out next year such a pity :-\ but i guess it's something to look ford to.

I know i keep on raving on about Left 4 Dead but like im SUPER hyped about this game so im REALLY hoping they give something new.

Same with me. I just wish they would have showed true gameplay instead of some stupid tralier. I want to see the thing in action. >:(

I'm looking forward to Sony conference because they really have to show off some new stuff. Microsoft's just told us everything we already know. :P

I really doubt they will. Halo PC has more levels than the XBox version, as does Halo 2 PC. They didn't offer the Halo 2 maps to Xbox users. Then again, since it's the 360, you never know...

ok they dont, it will be great and fun. but this is next gen, i didnt spend $400 on an xbox 360 cause i wanted xbox graqphics
 
I don't know if you saw what I saw, but if you look up close, the graphics are updated substantially...especially on master chief. Holy geeze. :o

This halo 3 debate can go on and on...cause neither side will budge. So we'll just save this for one of the already 3 billion topics we have on it. :lol

oh theres no budging on my part, i have it preordered

im just saying it doesnt look nearly as good as gears, or, sadly, killzone two, which will get it made fun of
 
Halo 3 looks a lot better than Halo 2. It looks cleaner and smoother. Not to mention, they probably used the 360's power to make humongous scale fights that are fun, not small scale fights that look really good.
 
Every thing was great except for the new 5 sections and in the campaign, and the editor for gers of war. I hope 360 users can get it for download. Halo 3 looks great. Rock band looks like a load of fun. Assassins Creed was the thing that looked best to me.
 
Assassin's Creed looked amazing. I really can't wait. I wasn't sure cause I never saw any gameplay, but last night sold it to me. Any idea on when it comes out?
