MGS4 recieves it's first "10 out of 10" from the UK PS Magazine

Yeah this is going to be amazing if it can have, if not the same or slightly less scores. It kind makes it seem like Nintendo has only good games, while these other systems are scoring Spectacular games!
 
I actually want to get it. I'm glad they ditched the garbage combat from before and took a more Gears of War type approach.

Excuse me?! I really see no change into the way the game is played. You still need to be stealthy throughout the game. You still need to use cover throughout the game. There are some differences in the way the game can be played unlike in Gears where you did the same thing over and over again. Metal Gear was one of the or the first to use cover in a third person action game, so I don't see how MGS4 has taken a "more Gears of War type approach" for gameplay. If by all means you actually have a valid point as to why MGS4 is like that please by all means express them. And if they are true then god help MGS4.

I think Hines was just talking about the shooting mechanics. MGS 4's gameplay in general is still a far cry from Gears of War's, though.

the fact that you said the old type of gameplay is garbage is the problem and also is still the same gameplay type

the gameplay mechanics are the same, that's why is a bad idea to judge a game by a video

same here, the graphics here look extremely good and i haven't even seen it at his full potential on a ps3
