Metroid Prime 3 discussion.

many web pages already say it, metroid has the best controls in a FPS period, and just because they hate the wii, the only thing epileptic gaming does is bash it and a lot, (without even playing the game by the way), it's just sad the lack of journalism and respect (because they do phone calls and anyone that supports the wii for them is the most annoying person ever).
No way, I'm sorry, but the Wii-mote just doesn't have the precision of a mouse. It could be better than dual analog controls though.

Metroid Prime 3 is getting pretty great reviews though...not quite as high as Bioshock, but really good none the less...

oook metroid has the best FPS controls in the next-gen consoles period. (like it this way ?)

im gonna pick up my copy right now :o

The controls are awesome, but I suck. :lol I have the difficulty set on Veteran with the Advanced control setting turned on and I can't get past the first boss. :shame

Maybe I'll have to play it on Normal first and then try Veteran.

The demo at the fusion tour looked awsome, i waited in line for 2 hours to try it but the event ended before i got a chance to try it. So how is it guys, I know you cant even compare the two, but is it worse, just as good, or better than twilight princess, thanks a lot

jajaja i also selected veteran difficulty, and advansed mode, i sucked at first but then i got better. i killed the first boss in my first try, but now i'm worried that i forgot to scan something out of him ( i scaned him once) but i got killed in the part of the many you know what mai (little spoilers) XD

for those that are left handed and think this game is gonna difficult for you, personal experience :), is not, it takes a while to know how to aim with the hand you are not used to, but after a while is really easy.

i don't even pay attention if i'm in lock on or not XD i just point and shoot. i recommend this game to everyone, and although the wii remote is not as precise as a mouse, it is faster than a mouse (waaay faster) and the graphics are really good in HD i could say it's comparable with the worst graphics of the 360 (wich is a compliment)

I almost bought the strategy guide when I picked up the game, but I decided not to.

Any pointers on the first boss?

I'm going to try and go in with more health, because I understand the principle of how you're supposed to defeat it, I just always die before I can do it. :lol

well just jump when he use the laser attack, jump to the right (or left depending wich shoulder you are destroying), then when you destroy both shoulders (use normal power beam not charge) after that just evade hte fire balls and reflect (with your power beam) the purple balls until his shield is destroyed, then use missiles whenever you can and jump everytime you need, is not a hard fight if you know how to evade everything.

by the way it was an epic battle and is just the first boss :o

or you can use the save station in the door to the left in the room before the boss to restore your health XD

What? There was a save station right before the boss? I totally missed it! :sick

Well after I eat dinner I'll give it another go. Hopefully I'll be able to beat him this time. :lol

little note XD everytime you see a big door and a little door, go to the little door first XD

Well as misfortune has it, I only saved at the very first save point, so I have a lot of it to do over. :lol I'll make sure to do that. :)

How is this game so far? There was a few people complaining about it being lackluster today at gamestop when I went in, but there were more people raving about it. Is it a love/hate game?

These games have alot more people that like it then people that don't. That's why it seems that way. With MP3 out, I'm pretty much forced to get a Wii again soon. I just hope the hype doesn't kill it, like Twilight Princess.

I love it. The boss fights are really intense. I've fought two so far (one minor and one major). I don't want to spoil too much, but let's just say that Metroid fans will be happy to see someone familiar in one of those fights. ;)

The morph ball stuff is also fun and they have worked it into the puzzle solving pretty well.

It has a lot more action than I remember Prime having, but it's ok because it's fun to shoot things. :D
