Metroid Prime 3 does not have any kind of multiplayer, period. Retro Studios opted not to do it and instead put all of their focus on the single-player experience. Kind of the same way Bioshock doesn't have multiplayer, either. It doesn't make the game any less of a good game. :)

In fact, it makes it better. People didn't like Echoes as much as Prime, and Echoes had crappy multiplayer.

I dont think that Echoes having bad multiplayer made the single player worse...

yes and no. it could make it better. but even if the multiplayer was horrendous you could still choose not to play it, and you would still have that awesome single player experience

No, it took away from them focusing all on the single player. Because of it, people criticized Echoes for having the Sky Temple Key search bland and boring. Metroid games being bland and boring in exploration is something that shouldn't happen. I myself don't have that view, seeing as how I used a guide. But I do agree Prime is better than Echoes.

I personally have never liked Achievements. I guess this is a good addition for those who do.

I guess I will be the "It's from Nintendo Power, though" guy. Yes they gave Resident Evil a 10 but in all honesty I don't think it deserved it. It was a port with decent controls added on. I think NP is just boosting these games because there's really not much going on with the Wii. Hence the high scores. If there were more quality games out, I'm pretty sure NP would be hesitant to give those scores out.

Now I'm not trying to take anything away from Metroid as I'm sure it's a good game. I just have to wait and see what other publications have to say about it.

They gave RE4: Wii Edition a 9.0. They gave the original GCN version the 10.

Ah good to know. I don't read NP and everyone was telling me that the Wii edition got it. I retract my statement. :)

Yes, they consider 9.5 great with few flaws, but to get a 10, you have to do something extra. Metroid Prime 3 felt very organic and real, along with Wiimote controls on it, and RE4(GCN) reinvented and improved the Resident Evil series.

That's because Twilight Princess did nothing new. It broke the chain of every 3D Zelda being different. I have a massive urge to play Wind Waker all of a sudden. I think I'm around the Forsaken Fortress the second time, and that's fun.

yes, but acording to the previews the enemies of old areas will be stronger the second time you travel through the area
