Is There Any Little Things That You Miss About The Older Consoles?(NES,Sega)

I miss a lot man! Most notably, Maniac Mansion, Mario 3, Boy and His Blob, Cobra Triangle, Paperboy, Bubble Bobble, Zelda, and Tetris. So many good memories with those games.

Heck yea! I swear I don't even know if that game ever ended. I got pretty far on it a few times.

I know that in the arcade version there was 100 stages or something. The boss at the end was just a giant version of one of your previous enemies,if memory serves.Perhaps one of the other members might remember it to.I'm not 100% sure about the final boss, although I remember that if you make it to level 50 the treasure room door opens.Once again,I not super sure.Any other members of this forum remember it?

Original GameBoy games is what I miss the most lately.

Especially METROID II: Return of Samus and Super Mario Land 1 and 2 :(

having friends come over to play games instead of them playing online :T

maybe that's just me though. xD

You're not alone! I miss it, too. My favorite were Goldeneye parties in my basement. Probably lost way too many brain cells during them, but man they were so worth it :D

Whenever I played that game I'd get whooped by all my friends :P
remember having so much fun playing Rampage World tour with my buddies. I don't know why that game took us so long to beat. xD

I'm not missing anything because I still play those old consoles. :lol I have my SNES hooked up to a 19" analog TV setting here beside my desktop. Sitting on a shelf underneath and hooked up is my NGCD. My NES is setting in a plastic box, no more than three feet away, ready to be pulled out at a moments notice. Whenever the itch strikes. Behind my computer desk sets boxes of my consoles that can be pulled out at the drop of a hat. As you can see in the picture below, Retro Junkie is ready. R U E :lol

Here lately I have been going through a Gameboy Pocket and Color revival. I even blog about it on my xanga site.

Holy crap Retro!!
"Pack-Rat" would be an understatement of the greatest magnitude!! :lol

Yea but in his case being a pack rat is a good thing! Not like some of those people you see who keep complete junk. This stuff is GOLD I say!!!

I did keep this stuff in a closet but it was so inconvenient to pull out. And I will not let go of any of these old systems as long as they work. My Sega CD just died recently so out it goes. I am not sure if I will invest in another one. I haven't decided. If not, the games will go on sale on eBay. I really don't like moving parts in a console. Just a personal phobia, I guess. The biggest thing about these old systems is, what was fun in their heyday is still fun today. :lol
And you have to grasp one thing about having all of these old systems, I am having the time of my life!!
