I like my DS lite

Nice screens. I've only played the original DS in stores so I'm not sure how much better it is.

We've got Mario Kart DS, Pac N Roll, Yoshi Touch n Go, and Partners in Time. I don't want to get Metroid till I play through most of MP2 on the cube.

Was gonna get New SMB today but they were sold out.

I remember playing the classic Game & Watch games when I was a little kid. The dual screen Mario Bros with their bottle factory. Oh yeah. The memories.

if you need the new smb... I think I can get a couple still :)

I would like to get a DS lite at somepoint... I just don't want to spend any cash right now as I am taking the Gmat soon (going to cost me $250 just for the test).... but I DEFINITELY want to get one of these.

So... is the DS lite comfortable to hold then?

Very, though the action buttons feel weird because they're kind of on the small side. Much smaller than the PSP buttons for instance. I wonder if someone with big hands and fingers might have trouble with this. My hands are on the small side and my fingers are pretty slim so it's a perfect fit for me but I wonder how comfortable/uncomfortable it might be for someone with bigger hands.

The screens are much more brighter than I imagined. I was worried that the size of the buttons would be too small for my fingers. Im pretty happy with it right now.

I just played Multi tonight for the first time. It was so much fun.

I played Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros multiplayer

Great time.

I love my DS Lite, also. I can imagine that if you had thicker fingers the buttons could get awkward, but my husband and I have slimmer fingers, so it is fine.

I love the bright screens.

I love the DS. My fingers are sorta hurting a little from playing. I just have big hands I guess...

My fingers hurt when I play old model DS but not due to the system design - it has to do with the way I hold it. Check in to that. I mean, I still hold it that way and I know it eventually hurts, but.. hell.. that's the only way to fly is your way!

I do feel uncomfortable as well....   at times.  But then again... it's not bad unless playing for longer periods of time.

What part of your hands hurt? Each of you? It's always my right pinky. I sometimes have that problem playing GCN, too.

Its my thumb on my right hand and my left hand from the d pad. It will be all right I guess. I will get used to it...

I love mine too, love my PSP more, but am enjoying the DS Lite immensely. There are two things that bug me a bit....

1. It seems that when you pause GBA games the system doesn't go into sleep mode when you close it.
2. I'm so used to my PSP that on occasion I tend to turn off my DS Lite before closing it. Let me explain for those that didn't get that. When you have to stop playing a PSP you turn it off and when you turn it back on you just pick up right where you left off but on a DS you just close it and it automatically goes to sleep mode. Still getting used to that. :lol

That's because sleep is technically a software feature, not a hardware feature. To initiate sleep for GBA games, the title has to support such things.

I don't like the PSP "feature". I often end up turning it off instead of sleep mode. Sleep/power on the same button are not good. :-(

I'm not sure I get you on that. I just turn mine off and turn it back on. I'm not even aware of a sleep mode on the PSP, I guess because I don't use it. :lol

sleep is if you just click the off but off is if you hold power down for like 5 sec > > > i had one some jerk on my bus stepped on it :'( lets morn the loss

it hurts more along the line of the thumb to the pointer finger.

Pinky... doesn't hurt at all.

The DS has a sleep mode? I thought it was more of a "standby" mode where the screen just turned off... but the actual system wasn't resting? More like the game is paused and the screen light goes off.

I have been having problems playing FIFA. My fingers are really cramped and I usually cant play for more than a half hour at a time.

I didnt know there was a sleep mode either. In Fifa they have a way to save in the middle of a game and continue later. I thought that was pretty neat.

When you suspend the play in sleep mode, it enters a low battery mode. Even if it didn't, shutting the screens off would definitely save on battery either way.. :-)
