I've been with this forum for a little while now,I have to ask you ladies and gentlemen something.

You people have an insane amount of posts! How long has this Forum been around? :lol :lol :o :o :D

May 30, 2004 if one goes by the date BV registered. But, EGA itself predates that. We were on an ezboard forum before we came here. And BV couldn't transfer all the posts we had on the ezboard, so we pretty much had to start over. So everything you see here, all the topics and all the post counts and everything, happened after 5/30/2004. ^_^

That's our old board. It was started in 2001. It's missing a lot of posts from what I can see, and the fonts are all messed up/some links are broken, but that's what it was.

Haha, I can't get in the DKOH there because I wasn't a mod until we moved here.

Edit: I just read a post BV posted on that forum relating to college, and I also read my response. It's weird hearing my grade 11 self talk about not wanting to go to college, as I'm now essentially in my second year of it. BV was right though, I should have thought about that post a little more than I did. :lol

Same. You know what else I noticed? The post count stuff wasn't like it is here...at the ezboard, your #1 post always said #1. I think it's much better the way it is here.

Wow, Sartori/Solinari really was a douche. The way he talked to BV even... completely disrespectful. Reading his posts now infuriates me. :lol
 
He was a mod, too, which is trippy. I haven't really been reading much of his stuff though. Ezboard makes it difficult to search posts by username, since some are global accounts and some aren't. Incidentally, my account actually is still active, but there's no other ezboards worth visiting.

Yeah I know huh! I don't know if it's just me but it also seems like the boards were a lot friendlier and cooler back then, too. Still cool now, but something is just different from back then and I can't put a finger on what it is.....hmmm....
 
There was a lot less people, and a lot less posts, so it probably felt more like a community. Here, we do have a lot of regulars, but at the same time, we get a lot of new people all the time, and people don't post consistently.

Yeah, at the old board I use to make a post in nearly every topic. Now, if I can have a couple posts in a couple topics in a couple sections, I'm covering a lot of ground. :lol
 
Yeah, they were pretty cool from the looks of it. A bit too dark for my tastes.

It's funny reading the console war section and seeing it consist of "Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox".
 
Yeah, I actually don't think it was because we had less members, it just seems like the atmosphere was friendlier for some reason. I think maybe it was because back then, the boards were regulated a bit better and there was much less personal insults and mindless bashing. You mods do a good job for sure, but I do think certain things slip through the cracks a little easier now then before....Ah who knows, maybe I'm just being schitzo as always :lol

I think what we are missing is BV's presence.
