I'm wondering what Jack meant when he said that this forum isn't as fun as it used to be.I asked,but he's offline.I'll e-mail him.I know this forum is always looking for ways to improve post activity and gain new members that will stay.Maybe the reasons he has for saying it's not as fun as it used to be,might serve as a way to perhaps restore the forum's thunder it had back when he was at his most active.Just a thought.

I assume he misses the drama. Not as many was to implement his sarcasm skills anymore.
 
I've grown somewhat out of gaming. I still enjoy it, but I'm not as hardcore as I was a few years ago. So I tend to split my time online between EGA and some anime forums, and I usually spend more time at the anime forums.

I don't think it has anything to do with any changes at this forum...it's more of a change in myself.

As they say - it's not you, it's me. :lol
 
Although it's not directly healthy to the forum's well being, controversy is definitely fun. Post counts were definitely up and definitely more interesting a couple years back. Now everything's just...bland.

And Thrav, it's not about how much you use sarcasm, it's about when to use it. Some people think it's completely idiotic, but I think it's an art, and like art, it has its idiots and aficionados.

As for me, I only get joy from posting news on here. Killing spambots and trying harder to game more with my oddball work schedule and drama at work.

The era I miss most was around when I first joined and maybe a year or 2 after. It was just...different. There was a totally different atmosphere than there is now.
