Guitar Hero 3!

I don't like the boss battles. They added those to try and be different from the other Guitar Hero games...but IMO adding boss battles was fixing something that wasn't broken to begin with.

To be fair, the song selection for GH3 is a little better further into the game.

It's like with Madden. It's the same thing every year because there really isn't much to improve upon.

A very good point, Mr. Cherry. Football is still football but people buy it anyway. Playing a fake guitar is still playing a fake guitar. I didn't buy Rocks the 80s, because I pretty much knew I only had a burning desire to play 2 of the songs on it. That is not worth $60 to me, so I passed. If you can think of a way to make playing a fake guitar "deep," Spartan, let us know, ok? :)

or any other rhythm game for that matter

How is shooting a fake gun in Halo deep? How is commanding fake little men in Starcraft deep?

It takes a certain amount of skill to master. Not just everyone can run in and play on expert, you have to learn the ways of the guitar.

Yeah I think I've decided I'm not gonna get this... From all the bad things I've heard from people about it, even online play doesn't convince me to get it now.

I just split the $80 for this game with my bro yesterday. I've had GH2 for awhile but no guitar. (it was only $20, thought I'd snag it) I'm having fun with it. I'm at hard/expert. I can do the beginning of TTFaT fine but the rest is killing me. Something tells me I gotta beat Misirlou to prepare. :(

GH 3's difficulty is 1 &2's amped way up.

Disgustingly so.

I had never played much hard or expert in 1 or 2, medium is usually my thing. I've been playing GH 3's medium, going insane. I gave up, traded it in. I see Strubes playing GH 2 on expert- It looks the same as GH 3'a medium.

I played that expert song with relative ease.

Gh 3 is not a Guitar Hero game- It's Guitar Hero and Rock Band conditioning.

No, it's definitly a Guitar Hero game through and through. So the difficulty is amped up, doesn't mean it's not a good game. Be a true fan and get in there and show that game who's boss.

Now if you were to complain about song selection, I would understand, but difficulty? Nope, don't think so.

The difficulty's a legit argument. Not everyone has all the hours of practice it takes to play on expert, so if they liked the first and second, but could only play medium, of course they'd be upset with the third in the series.

I haven't played it yet, but I have heard that GHIII is the hardest one yet. Difficulty can be a complaint though. Hines, you yourself complained about it in Ninja Gaiden.

cause ninja gaiden isnt good, and is way to hard
Someone can complain, legitimately, in the same way about Guitar Hero III.

I played GHIII on medium at first and i was like whoaaa. I play hard on GH2 and it felt like i was playing hard on it on Medium on GH3. I don't know if that makes sense but medium on GH3 feels like hard without the orange button. It's just harder. anyways you get used to it

Knights of Cydonia on Medium is ridiculous. It feels more like a hard song than a medium song, even though there's only the four buttons that medium uses. Even people experienced in hammer-ons and pull-offs have trouble with some of the songs on medium.

I thought this game was supposed to be easier with its bigger window of opportunity to hit notes.. :-\ dang
